Don't touch my brother.

Summary:

Amaaki's overprotection of Haruaki is well known to the entire student body, but Haruaki's obsession with his brother is not known to many people.

Or: Sometimes, the intellectual soul fragment does a very good job of protecting its belongings.

(Is it too OOC? Is it too bad to see Haruaki's evil spirit working before he officially appears?)

Work Text:

In an ordinary high school in Osaka, there was a pair of twin brothers who emerged as a remarkable treasure. The younger brother, with his intelligent brain, achieved high results in all subjects, and a height that impressed all the boys, but had a slight problem, mainly his obsession with sailor uniforms. Meanwhile, the older brother, with equally excellent advantages as his younger brother, did not have that perverted hobby, but was terribly obsessed with his younger brother.

That said, the truth is that Amaaki, the obsessive older brother who is willing to beat to death anyone who approaches his younger brother, is actually secretly loved by many female students in the school. That's obvious, tall, good at studying (second only to Haruaki), handsome, cool, and when not with Haruaki, Amaaki is the image of a cold, quiet handsome man in school novels. But except for his younger brother, he doesn't care about anyone, so he has unintentionally broken the hearts of many female students.

And this female student Yoko is a typical example of the school's unsuccessful pursuit of a young girl. As a normal female student sitting next to Amaaki, Yoko certainly would not be able to escape this youthful love net. She secretly gave gifts in the locker, sent love letters and arranged to meet in person many times but never received a response, Yoko did not give up at all, she was like a waiting stone waiting for her love to be able to melt that cold heart, to be able to make that boy smile at her like the way he smiled at his younger brother. Yoko truly had a heart that was so passionate it was scary, and now was another try for her.

Stuffing the fifth love letter of the week into Amaaki's wardrobe while the boys were in physical education class, this young girl was determined to meet Amaaki this week! She had waited for the boy she secretly loved for four days in a row without a response, and on top of that, Amaaki acted as if nothing had happened in class and kept talking to Haruaki, not even sparing her a glance, which disappointed her immensely. She just needed a clear answer, whether she had a chance or not, whether this pure love could reach him, that was why she was so persistent.

After making sure she didn't accidentally stuff herself into someone else's locker, the young girl was ready to leave to prepare for the meeting. She adjusted her school sailor uniform, touched up her light makeup, fixed her long hair, and waited at the large cherry blossom tree that was blooming behind the school. This was also the reason why she was determined to confess this week, the cherry blossom petals fluttered around the young couple who were confessing their feelings...wasn't it very sweet!! This might increase her chances of a successful confession. And if Amaaki didn't come again...well, she would say it directly in class next time, it might be annoying and clingy but this young heart that was beating wouldn't stop.

Luckily for her, Amaaki actually came after being ignored four times. The tall, handsome boy with a cold face held the cute pink love letter and approached her, but paused and kept a certain distance between them. He crossed his arms, his cold eyes looking at her as he spoke emotionlessly.

"This letter is from you, right? You're really persistent."

"Yes! Ah...I.."

The young girl began to feel the awkwardness of her crush actually coming, her hands fidgeting with the hem of her shirt while trying to remember the cheesy love confessions she had practiced for the past week, but now her love brain was left with nothing but emptiness.

"Hey."

"Y-Yes! Oh yes..I..I asked you out here actually...I..Amaaki!! I really love you! Please be my boyfriend!!"

She can say it! Although it wasn't as long and romantic as she had imagined, she was able to confess properly. She lowered her head, her heart pounding as she waited for Amaaki's reaction. How would this guy she had a crush on react, would he politely thank her and refuse, or would he coldly say that he only cared about his younger brother? Oh no, Amaaki was cold but he was actually very nice and polite, that was also the reason she liked him...or maybe if she was lucky, he would agree!!

*Swish.*

"Huh?"

The sound of paper being torn made the girl unconsciously raise her head, looking at the person she secretly loved tearing the love letter that she stayed up all night to write, 2 pieces..4 pieces..then into small pieces of paper that flew away with the wind and cherry blossoms, leaving both of them silent. Amaaki only then smiled, his tone sarcastic as he approached her.

"Too bad, that love letter disappeared~ But you really need to review your love, you say you love but you don't even recognize who the person in front of you is?"

"What....no, Amaaki won't....you're Haruaki!!"

"Bingo, so you're just stubborn and not that stupid~"

Ama..no, Haruaki just laughed, a mocking smirk that she had never seen before. To her, Haruaki was just a good-at-school idiot obsessed with sailor uniforms, the type of person who would cry when meeting gangsters and hide behind Amaaki..but this person...who is this person?!

"Hmm? Why are you making that face like you saw a Yokai, it hurts me~"

"You...why did you do that...that letter wasn't meant for you!"

"Ah, I know. But I can't just let flies swarm around my brother, so I had to come all the way here to deal with it~"

"What..."

A chill ran through her and she backed away in fear, but then she realized she was leaning against the cherry tree as Haruaki approached and spoke calmly.

"You know? You're the most annoying fly. Those guys give up if they don't get a response, but you're really stubborn. I thought you'd give up if you threw all your letters and gifts into the trash."

"Throwing the gifts... was it you?! Rumor has it that Amaaki heartlessly threw all the gifts into the trash..."

"Yeah, I did it. That way you flies will know it's hard to back off, right~"

"Why...why did you do that? This is between me and Amaaki! Damn it, who are you to interfere in Amaaki's love life!! You're just a little brother, and later when Amaaki has a girlfriend, a wife and kids, he'll abandon you! Why are you..!!"

Perhaps because of the anger of knowing that her heart was thrown into the trash by her crush's younger brother, she began to lose control, the anger seemed to blind her, causing her words to gradually lose control. It was only when something grazed her cheek, causing a large hole in the cherry tree behind her and Haruaki's cold face in front of her that she suddenly remembered that this seemingly weak boy always passed gym. Haruaki's fist actually left a large mark on the tree trunk, causing the next words she wanted to say to be turned inside out, leaving her trembling as she watched this younger brother gradually smile in a frightening way.

"Yes ~ you're right, Ame will probably find a wife, have a child and take care of his own family... but that will be a matter of the future."

Haruaki didn't spare any mercy as he forcefully squeezed her chin, his gentle words filled with menace in this poetic scene.

"Know your place, a common fly like you is not worthy of Ame at all. Ame is only mine, forever....That's it~ if you don't want the story of you bullying someone to the point of suicide four years ago to be exposed, then shut your mouth and stay away from Ame~"

Leaving the girl in a panic as her biggest secret was revealed, Haruaki hummed the song he often listened to as he walked away from this place. Haruaki wasn't a possessive person, he was willing to let Ame be happy with the person he loved... but on the condition that the person couldn't be a bad person, at least not when he couldn't investigate any bad things...

"Haru!"

"Huh? Ame!"

Haruaki smiled his usual innocent smile as he walked up to Ame, who was a little out of breath from running, and asked worriedly.

"Haru! Why didn't you wait for me? You worried me to death! And where did you go?"

"Sorry, Ame. I worried you, and I...I...I think I brought a new sailor uniform."

Haru smiled happily as he walked up to Ame, strangely enough, he couldn't remember why he was here. He only remembered that he was changing after gym...then he opened Ame's locker to check...then he saw something...and he forgot the next part. Well, it probably wasn't that important, if it was important, he would have remembered.

"And how did Ame find me here?"

"I followed your GPS."

"Oh..."

"Damn it, that bastard Abe. I didn't even have time to do anything to his little brother and he already beat me up."

In a small alley, a boy who was also Amaaki's classmate was in need of bandages for the gang leader he had joined. He was just a normal bad student who liked to hang out in groups, and this gang leader was a famous gangster in this area, but there was no gangster who hadn't been punched by Amaaki.

"It's the boss's fault, if you hadn't blocked Haruaki's way and robbed him, Amaaki wouldn't have beaten him up like this."

"So are you on his side or mine? That bastard, I didn't even have time to get the money before he jumped in. Damn it, if I don't deal with him, I won't be the boss of this area!"

The gangster boss muttered uncomfortably as he pressed the phone, needless to say, he must have called some gangsters from another area. Although this student felt a bit humiliated seeing his boss like that, calling a gang when a gang fights, but he was just a normal member, how could he have any say. But anyway, as a classmate, this friend was very kind enough to warn Haruaki in advance so that both brothers could be on guard. As for why it was Haruaki and not Amaaki, there was no need to say, if that overprotective brother knew, he would come and fight the whole gang alone, there would be no waiting.

"I see. Thanks for the heads up."

"It's nothing, just be careful."

The boy waved his hand as if nothing happened at Haruaki's warm, bright smile, a smile that was as bright as the sun, shining so brightly that it blinded a bad student like him...that must be the reason why Amaaki was so overprotective..

Haruaki..except for his intelligence and that bright smile, he's weak in character enough to fall prey to bad guys like him...that's what he always shows, right...right? Not true at all!

The poor boy sat in the alley with his head in his hands, watching the person he always thought was weak punching gangsters one by one, watching the person who had smiled brightly this morning smirking while throwing another gangster against the wall like he was throwing trash.

Something was wrong... tonight his gang and a few other gangsters were discussing a plan to ambush Amaaki, then suddenly Haruaki fell from the sky and beat all of them except him. And him? He watched in amazement as Haruaki broke the iron rod like tofu and made each of them fall to the ground, writhing like insects while the person who beat them brushed his hands off as if nothing had happened.

"Um, you're Tsuyo, right? The one who warned me this morning."

"Y-Yes! It's me."

"That's great, then please call an ambulance for these people. Oh, and when you wake up, remember to remind them that it's okay to touch me, but don't touch Ame!"

Tsuyo, the boy who was scared, nodded at Haruaki's angelic warm smile, but the blood splattered on his cheek made this angel look terrifying in the dark.

Receiving a good answer, Haruaki happily left the alley. He wiped the blood off with a handkerchief, fixed his messy clothes and hair, and then went to buy ice cream at the convenience store. He happily walked home with the ice cream, but when he opened the door, he looked blankly at Ame who was leaning against the wall waiting for him.

"Haru, why did you go into the alley just now?"

"Yes? Ah... I think I saw stray cats fighting in the alley just now, so I came to stop them."

"A stray cat? Did you get scratched? But you have to be careful, alleys are dangerous at night."

"Yes, I know."

Haruaki obediently let Amaaki check him before giving the ice cream to his brother. He happily let his brother fix his clothes and went into the house with his parents who were waiting in the living room.

"But, you're tracking me on GPS again."

"Um, I'm just a little worried, it's getting pretty dark."

"Really! I'm an adult, you have to believe me!"

Despite Haruaki's pout, Amaaki still kept thinking that his cute little brother still needed to be protected, but he didn't know that his little brother had made a name for himself during the time he spent buying ice cream.

[If you mess with Haruaki, you'll be beaten to a pulp, and if you mess with Ame, call an ambulance and write a will first.] - Tsuyo.
