Summary:

Disclaimer - I don't own Stargate. This was written for the second day of the Friday Winter calendar 2024.

Work Text:

The people of Earth had many fascinating traditions and were free to celebrate them even when they might conflict with another person’s traditions. The coming of winter signaled the coming of what was termed the winter holidays, such as Christmas, Hanukkah, and other various holidays.

“Hot chocolate?”

“And what kind of Earth tradition is this?” Teal’c asked.

One of O’Neall’s eyebrows shot up while his mouth twisted in amusement as Teal’c took the cup of hot chocolate. “What kind of Earht tradition is this? It’s the tradition of warming old bones with a warm drink during the winter months kind of tradition.”

“So, a universal tradition?” Teal’c said, sniffing the drink, then getting an amused look indicating he enjoyed the smell.

“I don’t know anybody who doesn’t like hot chocolate,” O’Neall said. “At least not during the winter, as the hot summer months are a completely different matter as hot drinks are not…”

He paused, watching Teal’c take a drink, still making faces.

“So?”

“I do not like it,” Teal’c said.

O’Neall raised an eyebrow.

“I love it,” Teal’c said. “And I can see why it would warm old bones.”

O’Neall laughed. “Was that an attempt at Earth humor, Teal’c?”

“It was. How did I do?”

“You did well.”
