Summary
“You’re mad at me.” Jayce frowns.
“I am not mad at you. Where did you get that idea from?”
“Well – you’re feeling… something… toward me. Things have been awkward lately.”
Viktor bites his tongue, feeling caught, “That… it’s complicated.”
“It – c’mon, it doesn’t have to be,” Jayce retorts, his breath warm. Somehow, he’s closer, “Please talk to me. I’ve done something, haven’t I?”
“No – no, you haven’t.” Viktor struggles, trying to pull his arm away. Jayce only turns his body to face his own, caging Viktor between himself and the table.
The taller man’s hands hesitate only slightly, but the alcohol helps to spur him on. They gently settle against the smooth expanse of skin near the top of Viktor’s neck, where he can feel tufts of chocolate brown hair spill from behind his ears. His thumb rubs against his jaw, and Viktor’s heart seizes in his chest.
