Elixir of Nefarious - A TVD Story

Summary:

Exclaimer: This story will be set in the Vampire Diaries Universe but will have other plotlines which will fall loosely during canon. Not all plotlines or scenes will make sense with the canon timeline, but all canon characters will be in character

The town of Mystic Falls was mysterious ever since it began in 1860. Between strange deaths and freaky noises the civilians were none too wise. Lucas Feller being one of them, between his friendship with Jenna and Alaric he is set against obstacles which change who he is as a person. Choosing between the naive world or the supernatural world wasn't easy.

In other words, Vampire Diaries but an added character with a hint of gay

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

“Jenna is going crazy right now, where are you Elena?” Lucas says, leaving his fifth voicemail. He walks into the dining room where Jenna is pacing, her phone to her ear.

“Elena I swear to god, you're gonna be grounded till your fifty” Jenna sighs sitting down at the dining room table and puts her hands on her head massaging her temples.

“She’s gonna be home soon, she probably just got caught up in a girls night,” Jenna looked up at him glaring.

“Elena isn’t like that, this isn’t like her,” Lucas puts a hand on her shoulder.

“You never know, she's been more social lately. Coming out of her shell,” Lucas says emphasizing with his free hand, Jenna smiles and looks down at her fiddling hands

“Thank you……” she starts, and then the door swings open. Jenna rushes to the front door, Lucas quickly behind her. They watch as Elena closes the door coming into the home,

“Where were you, I don’t set a lot of rules, not when it comes to you Elena. I trust you to tell me the truth.” Jenna states her voice cracking,

“Now’s not the time you want to talk to me about lies, Jenna.” Elena says tears in her eyes looking behind Jenna to Lucas,

“Lucas, thank you for staying with me. I need to talk to Elena.” She says not breaking eye contact with Elena, Lucas nods exiting the house, thoughts racing through his head. The loudest thought, ‘I need a drink’ .

                                                                        /………./

Walking into the bar Lucas was greeted with the other night drinkers. There were people playing pool, talking at tables and a man grading sheets of papers at the bar. Lucas sits between two men and orders a drink. A couple minutes go by and his drink hasn’t arrived yet so he takes out a book. The words on the page are flying across the book, he feels his head start to cloud and his mind start to wander. The clash of a glass to wood in front of him takes him out of his thoughts.

“Thank you” he says off handedly and grabs his drink letting the liquid burn his throat and leave a tingling in his mouth. He hates the way liquor tastes but loves the way it makes him feel, the man beside him wearing a leather jacket sighs. Lucas looks over at him

“Something troubling you?” he asks, looking for a conversation

“Girl troubles….” he smiles, taking a swig of his drink. Lucas chuckles

“When is it not, I myself am here to drown my sorrows about women's issues” Damon laughs,

“Here's to drowning our sorrows!” They clinked glasses. The conversation died out as they talked about music, and the latest gossip that is going on in Mystic Falls. Lucas finishes his fifth drink, and he feels great.

“Alright, did you drive here?” Damon asks him, Lucas sighs

“Yeahhhh…” He takes his keys out of his pocket and lays them on the counter, laying his head on the bar counter in his arms

“You should not be driving home…” Damon says searching for the man's name

            “Lucas,” he replies.

“Lucas, how about I drive you home” Damon offers, Lucas nods in his arms.

“Come on, up you go” Damon says grabbing Lucas’s forearm, Lucas stumbled out of the bar chair. His head was foggy; he couldn't comprehend the thought of walking. He didn’t understand it, one foot in front of the other, and he can go places. His weight is distributed across both legs, though currently he feels lopsided. He feels a hand around his waist, he looks to his right and he sees the man he was sharing drinks with. He giggled, he felt like he was flying.

“What are you laughing about down there?” The man asked amusingly, Lucas instead of replying laughed again, his fuzzy mouth was preventing him from speaking. Although it felt like hours, they were just now reaching the door, the cold air hit him as they walked out. Lucas looked around,

“Where are all the cars?” he asked, all he could see was a brick wall.

            “Were getting there” Damon continued,

“Give me one second”. He propped Lucas up against the wall and stepped back, he looked the younger man up and down. He then looked around the alley way and put both of his hands on Lucas’s shoulders.

“Be quiet” he said looking straight into his eyes, Lucas could swear he sees his pupils growing and shrinking. He feels too dizzy to think much of it, and then he feels pain. His eyesight goes black and he tries to move away from the man now attached to his neck but fails. He feels his blood being drawn from his body and he lets out a small yelp, he feels himself stop struggling and he feels numb now.

                                                                        /………./

For what felt like hours he was stuck in the darkness, feeling numb and empty. He hears a noise to his left but has no energy to place it. Suddenly he feels the man stop draining him and he sees the man's face, sharp teeth and blood shot eyes. Damon then turns towards the noise and lets go of Lucas. He slumps to the ground, his head hitting concrete, and he watches Damon in an inhuman speed grab the woman standing her hands on her mouth and drains her of blood as well. Lucas’s eyes flutter shut and he feels himself lose all sense of his body.

“Lucius, wake up, LU!!” he hears a voice cry. His eyes shot open and he props himself up on his forearms. There was grass everywhere, he could feel the sun beading down on him, and he heard a faint buzzing.

“Hello?” he cries out. He feels the air shift, and everything goes quiet. The air feels heavy and humid, he slowly starts to get up. Looking around his vision focuses on a far away house with smoke coming out of the roof. In the silence he heard a piercing scream, against his logic he ran towards the house. Coming closer he noticed that the smoke was consuming the house, there were people surrounding the house from every side. They watched as the house burned, he continued to hear shouts and screams coming from the inside of the house. From the corner of his eye he saw a shadow crawl out of a window. The people around him didn’t seem to notice. He approached the movement and saw a beautiful woman, she had dirty blonde hair which was in a loose braid across her back. She was wearing a sleeping dress and was huddled down. As he approached he saw she was looking at a little boy. He got a sinking feeling in his stomach as he looked at this woman and boy. He crouched down with her and saw he was still breathing. Suddenly there was a shout from his left and the lady turned her head. She frantically shocked the boy laying on the ground.

“Lucius, wake up, LU!!” At the second mention of his name the boy woke with a start, blinking rapidly.

“We have to go, come on,” the woman said, helping the boy up. They started running towards the woods hand in hand. Lucas was running behind them trying to catch up to the duo. A scream echoed through the clearing,

“WHERE IS SHE!!!! FIND HER NOW!!” Lucas turned to see a man walking around to where they were at the back of the house, he looked back at the woman who stopped running. Lucas couldn’t hear what she was saying but could see her mouth moving as she knelt to the boy's level and hugged him. Finally she let go of the boy and pointed towards the woods, turning as she walked over to where Lucas was standing. She was about to collide with him, but she went right through him. He felt her emotion, her pain, her loss but what he couldn’t feel was any fear. She wasn’t scared. He watched her return to the burning building, and she walked right into the fire. He was stuck where he was standing, processing what had just happened. He heard a beeping noise, it was getting louder and louder. It was right behind him, he turned. Nothing. It was above him now. He looked up. Nothing. It was on him now, the beeping was too much. He put his hands over his ears and screamed out in pain. He felt hot.

                                                                        /………./

Lucas was awake.. His hearing was alert he could hear beeping again, his eyes were staring at the ceiling. He looked around. He was laying down. He was awake. He was in the hospital. How the heck did he get to a hospital?
