Summary
Kate’s been thrown out of the Goddess of Transfemininity’s graces, and denied the means to continue her transition, so when she stumbles across witches—the scales upon which magic and humanity are balanced—she jumps at the chance to take her transition into her own hands.
Balancing more than just magic, Kate has to contend with what it really means to be a witch, fitting into an order of women who have spent generations settling into their ideas of the world, and the costs they pay for their power.
And, years after becoming a successful witch, Kate returns to the Goddess, only to find her under siege as the Goddess and her newest Maiden, Kate’s replacement, stuggle with transforming the heir to a local Lordship, and the lord wants his child returned, no matter the cost.
