-Nico's a fae that got caught while disguised as an animal (black horse, but also not-horse), and the ppl who caught him think he's something else entirely
-Leo's a stable boy who manages to like get in Nico's good graces, idk I didn't get that far
-Nico has this collar that keeps him in the place, and also keeps him from shifting back
-Leo names Nico, sort of, bc he doesn't know and Nico has no way of telling him
-They eventually run into the night and Leo frees Nico of the collar, and boom, a fae
-Nico has to go back to his world, but for that he needs to find the right entrance, Leo joins him on the adventure and the two grow even closer
-Leo ends up accompanying Nico into the green lands, for reasons??? while knowing full well he's gonna come out of it 100 years later????
-Nico gives Leo this pendant thingie that's like, part of Nico's soul as protection, which is basically a fae proposal
-Leo comes out to modern day US is the middle of like, probably yellowstone let's all be real
-meanwhile Nico has to actually wait 100 years to follow.
-Leo eventually figures out what the pendant thing is and give Nico his name, you know, for romance reasons
