He now realizes that it was due to some higher power. Their relationship was like that myth about all humans having 4 arms and 2 faces before being split apart by the Gods. Yes, that was what had happened to him and Satoru. Satoru and Suguru were soulmates. Suguru knew this and, he was sure, Satoru would come to know it, too.
