Summary
In the quiet morning directly following the aftermath of “Mastermind”, Blitz wakes to another day in his cramped apartment, now shared with his newly-fallen prince, Stolas. Determined to inject some sense of normalcy into their uneasy arrangement, Blitz distracts himself with breakfast, wrestling with doubts about how long someone like Stolas, once surrounded by opulence, could endure such humble surroundings.
But the cracks in Stolas’s fragile composure quickly disappear, culminating in an emotional collapse that leaves Blitz scrambling to provide comfort. Forced to confront the weight of Stolas’s despair head-on, Blitz realizes he’s wholly unprepared—but equally unwilling—to let the former prince face his darkest moments alone.
