Chapter Text

"Seungminnie! Wake up!"

Felix rushed into Seungmin's room, barging in through the door 7 minutes and 13 seconds before both their alarms rang. Seungmin startled awake. What was so important that Felix felt the need to disrupt their morning routine and wake Seungmin up early? Seungmin attempted to rub the sleep off his face with hands curled into fists.

"What is it, Lixie?" Seungmin interrupted himself to check the time. "Don't we have six-ish more minutes before the day starts?" He asked groggily as his blond haired roommate practically bounced off of walls.

Suddenly Felix was near Seungmin's windows. First the blond drew the curtains. Seungmin was surprised at the lack of blinding sunlight that invaded his room and vision.

"What are you on about Yongbok?"

Felix looked at Seungmin with glowy eyes and a smile that brightened up the room.

"Just wait Minnie!"

Felix opened Seungmin's window. After the fresh air filled the room, Felix once again turned towards Seungmin. Looking at the younger with expectation. All Seungmin could do was look back with question marks shooting from his eyes.

"Minnie! Smell the air!"

Seungmin took a deep breath trying his best to smell it.

"Smells nice Yongbok."

Felix rushed over next to Seungmin with wide open eyes, hands flapping by his side.

"You don't understand Minnie! It smells like cold! It smells cold! The weather is going to get cold!"

Seungmin blinked slowly.

"Yes Bokie… It's mid November. The weather is bound to get cold." He said with a chuckle, turning off his alarm as soon as it started ringing.

"But the weather hadn't smelled cold until now! But this morning, it smells cold! That means we can have lactose free hot chocolate together! We can bake our favourite gingerbread cookies!" Felix rambled on, voice ringing with sheer joy and enthusiasm.

"Thank you for reminding me of my lactose intolerance, sunshine-man."

"You are very much welcome Minnie! Now c'mon! We have to get up and start the day! We need to eat a filling breakfast so I can go grocery shopping for the ingredients for our cookies!"

With that, Felix rushed out of Seungmin's room, presumably to get started on breakfast. Seungmin sighed fondly. He neatly made his bed and checked the weather app to figure out what to wear. He could hear noises of pots and pans from the kitchen. After deciding on his outfit of blue jeans, a shirt with snoopy and woodstock on it, which he had bought just because it had reminded him of himself and his roommate, and a green sweater, Seungmin went to the kitchen.

Felix had made pancakes with apples, maple syrup and cinnamon. Seungmin could smell the fall vibes from the entrance. There was milk heating up on the stove, Christmas themed mugs on the counter, most likely with hot cocoa mix already scooped into them.

Seungmin looked at Felix. The blond was still in his pajamas. Seungmin moved over to the stove.

"Aren't you forgetting something Lix-ah?"

Seungmin watched as Felix blue-screened momentarily before an imaginary lightbulb lit on top of his head.

"Can you make sure the milk doesn't boil over? I'll be right back!" the blond said before rushing to his room.

Minutes later, Seungmin watched as Felix rushed back into the kitchen. The blond was wearing a fuzzy, blue sweater that gave him sweater paws with gray sweatpants and purple, fuzzy socks. He looked comfy and snuggly.

"The milk isn't all over the counter yet, right Minnie?"

Seungmin looked down at the milk that, thankfully, hadn't boiled over just yet.

"It's all good Lix-ah."

Felix took over with a smile plastered across his face.

Seungmin took this opportunity to set the table while Felix finally managed to pour scalding hot milk into the Christmas themed mugs. Upon mixing the milk with the cocoa mix, Felix set the mugs on the table, finalizing their breakfast.

As soon as Felix served both of them their pancakes, both roommates dug in.

"Mmm Lix-ah! These are very good! Why did you wait until the weather smelled like winter to pull this recipe out?" Seungmin asked, humor in his voice.

"This recipe is specifically to welcome winter!" Felix joked. Though both of them knew that the blond was being somewhat serious.

Seungmin kept munching on his pancakes as he watched Felix. The blond would often stop eating just to do a little happy dance or flap his hands. It was almost like Felix was hyping himself up. It made Seungmin smile.

"Minnie!"

"Hm?"

"If it snows, can we invite our friends over, if they can come over safely of course, play in the snow and have a sleepover?"

Felix had asked with such excitement that it had caught Seungmin off-guard.

"Let's ask the others what they think about that. I'm sure Lino-hyung and Sungie would be down. They visit frequently regardless of weather conditions. You can ask Lino-hyung and Jinnie about it and I can ask Channie-hyung, Binnie-hyung and Jeongin-ie. I'm sure we can arrange something once or if it snows." Seungmin rambled to answer.

Felix just flapped his hands even more.

"We'll make snowmen, or women, or people! We'll have snowball fights, make snow angels, then we'll make hot cocoa! I'll have to make gingerbread cookies before they come over though! You liked the snap of the heart shaped ones right? Do Channie-hyung, Binnie-hyung and Jeongin-ie have favorite shapes? I should ask Sungie, Mimo-hyungie and Jinnie too!"

Felix went on and on. Seungmin smiled at his roommate fondly.

"Let's start off with seeing what the weather forecast says, yeah? We don't even know if it will snow yet. Let alone anytime soon." Seungmin tried to reason, earning a playful pout from the blond.

"Don't ruin my vibe Minnie! Let me be excited and-" the blond interrupted himself with a gasp and wide open eyes.

"What is it?..." Seungmin asked, drawing his attention to where Felix was looking, only to see the view of snowflakes gently and slowly falling, from the kitchen window.

"Oh my god Minnie! See?! I called it! I told you it had smelled like winter! I knew it was going to snow! We have to call everyone and start planning now! As soon as we finish calling people, I'll get started on the cookies! Wait I need groceries for the cookies! Shoot!"

Before Seungmin could even say anything, Felix had already called Minho.

"Mino-hyung! It's snowing! You and Sungie need to come over now!! I'll bake cookies! What's your favorite shape-"

Seungmin chuckled, rolling his eyes somewhat fondly before texting Jeongin first, then Chan and Changbin to invite them over. There was no stopping Felix. Especially since it was snowing. Seungmin wasn't complaining.
