Summary
The air around them is crisp, but the heat of the hot spring is warm. In the pale moonlight, surrounded by motes of glimmering magic, the snow shines, reflecting and glittering like fallen stars piled all around. For all that was lost in the fight against the Evanuris, all that was suffered to save the world as they know it, months later, that a moment as perfect as this one can exist at all is a miracle. Wintersend is just around the corner, and Lucanis feels content, his gift having come early when offered an invitation to Treviso, to enjoy a break from his classes and savor a little indulgence the Trevisan way.
