Chapter Text

Izuku hates his tears, he hates how they run down his face at any given moment. He wishes he could burn his tear ducts close so he could never cry again. Cry the tears that are so similar to his mother's, the tears that come out every time she talks to her son.

Selfish.

That's what Shinkoku always called him. He called him selfish for all the pain that he caused by his existence.
Every time his mum cries, he should cut his wrists. That's what Shinkoku says. Every time someone has to make a sacrifice for him, He should bash his head against the wall. Anytime he cries for no reason, he should gouge his eyes out: that is what Shinkoku says. Or he’ll do it for him

But Izuku can't gouge them out because he's selfish. He’s selfish, weak and scared. And for that, he hates himself.

Shinkoku has to be right. He's able to placate and calm his mother down, bring her laughter that he could never, His mother's boyfriend; the Morphing Hero, Shapeshifter. A hero who saved his mum from the pit of depression that is Midoriya Izuku.
Who is he to take away his mother's hero?
____

Shota likes to believe he's very in tune with others' emotions- although he doesn't look like he would. He always took notes on the mannerisms of each student. Whether it is Jirou's fiddling with her earjacks due to her ADHD or how Shouji covers his face due to his "appearance". But after the internships, Midoriya seems to hide his eyes.
Not maintaining eye contact.
Unruly bangs cover them.
New goggles were added to his hero costume.
And slight red abrasive marks around his face; subtle for most, but not for an underground hero like him.
The tears of the avid crier seized with apprehension.
It's not as if someone's going to steal them.

(14/4/35) Guys, I'm rereading this, and the story is so incohesive. So I'm editing everything before continuing the story
