Percy’s mom had never put much stock in God, had only taken Percy to Mass on rare occasions despite the urging of their neighbourhood Tíos and Tías, but they always celebrated Christmas. Part of that was going to the Parade on Rockaway.
Percy loved it, the lights and the noise and the people, and over the years he took as many friends as possible, the group expanding significantly from just Grover and Annabeth and his mom over the years.
“Love to see you happy Perce.” Sally said, hugging Percy as they watched the parade and his friends’ joy and chaos.
