It’s always me and my very special shadow
No matter where I will go to, I know, you will always follow
We might exist on very different planes
But that does not mean you won’t be here with me just the same
Always and forever, we two are together
Bound by a strong, yet invisible tether
Life death, whatever else existence there just might be
You and I for each other there will always see
As I know when this journey for me on this plane is over
We two will once again be each other rejoining, like otherworldly soldiers
For good this time around, spending all eternity after this corporal life
Without fear, worry, or any other kind of strife
But until then I know you will always be right here by my side
A shadow, a ghost, an eternal being whichever it is, is just fine
As we two made a promise a long time ago to be the you and me
The “I am yours and you are mine” kind, the one to really feel
And that will never change, not even when the final bell chimes
As I know we both will be just fine, together, for a very long time
