The team was called on a mission to help a planet of the coallition, they where told that their forest was being guarded by two monsters the mission was get there, search the monsters and cease the problem
"ugh how long until we finally go back to the castle! you guys know how I hate the woods" Pidge grunted, swating the insects away with their bayard, the forest was very similar with the ones from earth the only diference being the differents trees and the more red, orange,pink and purple colors, " well we still need to find those monsters that the tringians warned us about, and we haven't found any sight of them, and it's getting dark so~" Hunk trailed of glancing at the green paladin, who groaned and kept walking,Hunk side eyed them before getting close to the others " guys, I think she's turning into one of that moody teenagers!" he whispered shouted, making Lance snort, Pidge glared at them " I heard that!" They shouted, Hunk jumping in fear
" alright, enough with this, besides Keith is the moody one not Pidge" Shiro stated, smirking when Keith started to stutter " I wasn't even in the conversation Shiro!" Keith grumbled, glaring at his brother " I mean, you kinda are moody Keith, no offence!" Hunk exclaimed, smiling sheepishly at the raven haired boy, " well I'll say it full ofence then, you are a moody as heck, mullet" Lance joked, the red paladin just grumbling something under his breath
The paladins where so immersed in their little banter that they didn't notice the noice coming from behind them, none of them but Keith, the boy activated his bayard and aiming the sword to the source of the sound, startling the others, who immediately got into fighting position
Lance gasped when he saw what it was, " it's just a kid" he muttered, but the thing was, the kid didn't look like any of the locals, while the tringians where lanky and tall, with a fluffy appearance all of them being a variation of blue, the kid was green and had three cat like ears, the kid also had short brown curly hair and cat facial like features, she also had a tail with a blue ball in it, the kid looked like she wanted to cry
Lance kneeled slowly, deactivating his bayard, " hey, are you lost, what happened?" he asked softly, the little kid sobbed, " they...they took my brother....I..I want my brother back" she cried clunging her cloak, " can you tell us where they took him" Shiro asked, his voice calm as to not to scare the little girl, she nodded, " th-they took him to the village, we just wanted food" she explained, the paladins looked at each other concerned, "could you take us there? we'll help you rescue your brother, I promise" the girl nodded

The girl led them to the village where Allura and Coran where, which led the paladins to be confused, " are you sure that it is here umm....." Lance asked looking at the girl " Ivy" the girl, Ivy, said looking up at him "that's a beautiful name Ivy, mine is Lance" he said with a kind smile the conner of her lips tugging up slightly, " yes this is the place I saw them bring him here with my own eyes, please tell them to let him go, I promise we'll stop getting food" she pleaded, " we'll get your brother I promise"
The girl looked tired and kept stumbling, and it seemed that everyone had noticed that as well, "do you want me to carry you?" Hunk asked, eyebrows knitting together in concern, she only shook her head stumbling again, but this time she wasn't able to catch herself her eyes widening in surprise, Lance being the closest one, catched her
"Sorry for this" he stated before swiping his hand below her knees and bringing her up, Ivy looked at him surprised, he only smiled kindly and continued to walk towards the village
The paladins noticed a commotion on the center of the village, moving through the crowd they got to the Alteans, who where trying to persuade the tringians on letting something go, the girl ears perked up, " YE!" she screamed the crowd now looking at them, the leader of the village eyes wided "the paladins have captured the last monster!" he exclaimed with a big smile, one light blue tringian griping the arm of the girl, who hissed at the villager trying to get out of his grip, the villager tightened his grip making the girl let out a pained cry
without thinking Lance activated his bayard, aiming it at the child's agressor, "let her go" he demanded, the crowd quieten down in shock the lider looking back and fort to him and the girl, a shriek was heard and a child made he's way running through the crowd
he was more well build than the girl but smaller, he had two pair of pointy ears and a small horn on his upper right side of his forehead, he was some shades of blue and had a tail with a green ball at the end, he ran to the girl dodging all the tringians, he hugged her, " IVY!" he screamed, holding her shoulders and keeping her on an arm distance, he had a smile on his face, but the frowned " I told you to stay on the forest safe" he hushed trough his teeth the girl opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted by the lider
" what are you waiting paladins! kill these freaks!"
Keith glared at the leader "I thought you said there where monsters in the forest " Shiro stated, the leader, Evren, Lance remembered, switched his gaze to the black paladin "don't you see paladin, this half breeds are monsters freaks who don't deserve to live " he said his voice cold and sharp, Lance took a step closer "they're just kids, I understand that it can be weird to have a half breed in your planet, but perhaps you shouldn't do these type of things to them, they're just younglings after all" Coram explained, but the tringian just shook his head " these beasts don't deserve to be here, I suggest you just finish your job and go unless you still want us in the-" the leader was cut off by a slap, he looked shocked at the male who did it "you will not talk about kids this way, not in my watch" Lance spat his voice angry, something the other paladins didn't hear much "you really think we need you, because oh buddy you're wrong, you are the one who need us to protect you, so you better watch what you're saying " he snapped "if you really don't want these kids here , fine I'll take them with us"
The two kids watched the interaction, eyes wide with surprise Allura excused them all of them walking towards the castle, Lance looked back at the kids, nodding towards the castle "come on" he called with a soft smile "let's take you guys out of here"
They ran to him catching up with him, Ivy grabbing his hand while Ye stayed beside him
"I'll take care of you guys I promise"
