Scotland Glasgow Police Headquarters.
Buck was just finishing typing up the statement he took from the suspect and he couldn't wait to finish and get home as tomorrow he,Chris and Eddie would be going back to L.A for Christmas as its Buck's first Christmas off from his new job and it's also the first Christmas where him and Eddie are spending it as an official couple.
“OK I want everyone out of here in 5 minutes as I'm treating you all to a few drinks at the pub” Matt says.
“That's kind of you sir” Jackie says.
“Jackie, I'm always kind to my officers,” Matt says.
“So the last 4 times I have bought the drinks is what then” Buck says with a smirk.
“You doing a good deed” Robbie says as he comes to join the conversation.
“I'll remind you of that when you start complaining,” Buck says.
“Robbie complaining, don't be daft now Buck” Stuart says.
Everyone laughs at that comment and Robbie pulls a face.
“OK let's not give Robbie a hard time as its nearly Christmas” Matt says.
“Oh so just because it's coming up to Christmas that's when you all stop giving me a hard time?” Robbie asks.
“Yes” Everyone says at once.
Robbie shakes his head and he goes to his desk and picks up coat and wallet.
Stuart and Jackie are the next to pick up their things and Buck looks at his screen and he can finish the statement when he gets back from the Christmas break as the case won't be getting processed until after the new year so he saves it and logs out and puts his coat on and picks up his phone and sends a text to Eddie saying that he is going out for a few drinks with his team but won't be back late.
Eddie sends a text back saying OK and that's all he sends and Buck knows that Eddie is probably upset.
“So are we ready?” Matt asks everyone and they all give a nod and they all head out.
They reach the pub and it's packed already but they find a table and Matt goes and gets their drinks.
“So Christmas plans who's doing what then?” Buck asks.
“Well I'm going away for the 1st week of Christmas then I'm back here for new year” Stuart says.
“I'm away for the whole 2 weeks that we are off and I'll be in Hawaii” Robbie says with a massive grin.
“Well I'm heading of to Rome so that's still sunny” Jackie says.
“What are you doing for the 2 weeks we are off Buck?” Stuart asks.
“I'm going back to L.A to see my parents” Buck says.
“That's good I'm sure your son is looking forward to that” Robbie says.
“Yeah he and Eddie are looking forward to going back and seeing his family too” Buck says.
When the team first met Eddie they did not like him and felt like he didn't deserve Buck at all and they made sure to let Eddie know that Buck was actually a different person to who he was when he was in L.A and once Eddie proved that he loved Buck the team started to get to know him.
Christopher won the team over immediately and they loved it when the boy would visit Buck and Chris always made sure to be respectful to the team.
Matt comes over with the drinks and gives Buck his Irn Bru as he knows the man is driving.
The rest of the team take their drinks and they all raise their glass to a great Christmas.
Buck and Robbie end up playing darts and Buck is on his second soft drink.
Matt and Jackie are having a good time and laughing whilst Stuart is having a go on the karaoke.
After winning three matches against Robbie and having a laugh with him Buck looks at his phone and it's 7 pm so Buck decides to call it a night and he gives Robbie a hug and tells him to enjoy Hawaii.
Buck then goes to Jackie and tells her to have a great time in Rome and he tells Matt to have a good Christmas.
Buck waves to Stuart and heads out of the pub and goes to his car and Buck passes a couple of officers and they look at him and Buck says they can do a breathalyser on him if they want and they say it's ok as he looks sober.
Buck gets in his car and closes the door and turns the ignition on and drives home.
Buck pulls into his driveway and turns the car off and unhooks his seat belt and gets out the car and closes the door and locks it and goes into the house.
Buck takes his coat off and his shoes and he puts his keys and wallet in the dish that is beside the door and he heads further into the house.
As Buck passes through the house he takes a look at the pictures that are of him and Eddie and then he passes ones of him and Chris and he smiles more to himself.
Buck sees the lights on in the kitchen and he goes and sees who it is.
Buck opens the door and he sees Eddie making a cup of coffee.
“I thought you would be in bed?” Buck asks.
“I decided to wait for you,” Eddie says.
“Eddie, I told you I wouldn't be home late and I wasn't” Buck says.
“I know that but I thought I would wait until you got home anyway” Eddie says.
Buck knows that Eddie is trying to make up for the way he treated Buck all those months ago and they have both gone to therapy and spoke about how they need to communicate.
“Did Chris go to sleep ok?” Buck asks.
“He did and he was very excited and wouldn't stop talking” Eddie says.
“I'm glad how about I make myself a cup of tea and then we both head to bed” Buck says.
“Sounds like a plan” Eddie says.
After both Eddie and Buck have their drinks they make sure that the house is locked and they go to bed.
The next morning Buck and Eddie are woken up early by Chris and when they look at the alarm it's 3 hours before they need to get up.
“Chris it's only 3:30 am and we don't need to get up for 3 more hours” Buck says.
“We need to make sure we have everything and I have a clipboard so let's go” Chris says.
“He is so your son” Eddie says and he leans in to Buck's neck and goes back to sleep.
“Eddie Diaz, if I have to get up, so do you” Buck says.
Eddie groans and he just wants to sleep but Buck gets up and Eddie’s face feels the pillow so he gets up himself.
Both men get out of the bedroom and go into the living room and they see Chris with his clipboard and he is going over the suitcases and he is double checking the rucksack that holds the presents for everyone.
Chris screws up his face and both men know their son has found something wrong.
“OK son what's wrong with the rucksack?” Eddie asks.
“They are going to get damaged and there are presents that are fragile so they need be put in a suitcase” Chris says.
When December came around Chris made sure he had everything organised and this was the first Christmas with his dad and his Buckey as a proper family after everything that happened and Chris wanted it to be the best one ever.
“OK your dad will go and get the second suitcase while I make us some hot chocolate and hot mince pies” Buck says.
“Buck, our son is not having mince pies at 3:30 in the morning. Cheese on toast is better” Eddie says.
Buck rolls his eyes and gives Eddie a fake salute and picks Chris up and they go and get started on the hot chocolate and cheese on toast.
After getting the suitcase and having breakfast the 3 of them all get ready and they make sure that they have everything and that they have their coats,hats,scarf,gloves and boots on as its gotten really cold and they recently had snow and the ground is still covered in ice.
The family get to the airport and they book their luggage in and get the boarding passes and they then go to the lounge so they can get something to drink.
Buck is texting Bobby on his phone and telling what is happening just so Bobby doesn't worry.
The plane to L.A gets announced and the group head to the gate.
Once on the plane Chris is talking non stop and telling them what he is most excited about doing.
When Buck had been told that he would be finishing work on the 23rd that is when Buck and Eddie phoned up Athena and Bobby and told them they would be there for Christmas eve and Bobby and Athena were so happy and so was Ramon and Helena who were staying in L.A for 2 weeks.
The plane takes off and all wave goodbye to the UK for 2 amazing weeks with family.

Bobby was running around the kitchen and he had every counter filled with ingredients or some type of food that was going to be cooked.
“Bobby don't you think you have gone overboard?” Athena asks.
Bobby looks up at his wife and his face is covered in butter.
“Too much?” Bobby asks.
“Bobby I know this Christmas is special as it's our first one since Buck moved away and he is only here for 2 weeks but you don't need to go overboard” Athena says.
“OK I guess I have done too much,” Bobby says.
“Right, how about we put some stuff back in the fridge and we can cook the rest on boxing day” Athena says.
“Athena we don't celebrate boxing day” Bobby says.
“No we don't but Buck and Eddie do so we need to take an interest” Athena says.
Bobby knows that a lot of things have changed in the time Buck moved away and Eddie breaking up with Ana Flores and him and Chris moving away but the one thing that has stayed the same and that's Buck staying in touch with them.
Bobby and Athena clear things they don't need and they come up with a plan on what they need to cook and they get to work.
3 hours later and they have made a great start on the food for the meal tonight.
Bobby and Athena get changed and they prepare the table and just then the door goes and Bobby goes and answers it and Buck,Eddie and Chris are standing in front of him.
“Merry Christmas” All three shout and Bobby hugs them.
