Work Text:
The (infinite light/endless dark) flashes and you break.
How did it feel when the universe poured itself down your throat?
How did it feel, o Child of the Rift, to be everywhere and nowhere at once?
When your skin was replaced with the fabric between worlds and your organs were replaced by the black holes in the centers of galaxies, did it hurt?
The Rift churns beneath your surface. You have no eyes and yet you see (every twist in the web of space). You have no ears and yet you hear (the song of protons and neutrons and electrons in their endless dance). You have no tongue and yet you taste (stardust and genome and time itself).
You are Liminal, you are Threshold. A part of you has been spread to every universe in existence; you can go anywhere and be welcomed.
