Monoma would absolutely never admit this to anyone else, and he would deny it if anyone asked him, but sometimes he felt like UA wasn't worth the hype and the tuition.
Sure, he never had to worry about the money, being a certified rich kid, but he'd rather worry about the tuition, or attend a less hyped school, than worry about his brain functioning right after getting knocked out for the third or fourth or more time that week, or judging his classmates for just standing by every time.
If he could go back in time, Monoma would tell past-him to apply to Shiketsu like his cousin Fujimori Ichika did. Ichan seemed to like it there. Surely she never had to nurse a concussion.
Surely, Ichan was allowed to feel safe at school.
