He was captured before he could react, despite the orb feasting on his ability he was still an archmage and should have been able to protect himself. Now he could barely manage a simple cantrip.
He almost considered himself lucky to have been captured. The last time he spent in mortal company was well over a year ago and being thrust into the accompaniments of others was jarring to say the least."
