Chapter Text
Today was the end of a normal workday. The time when people were returning from work or school, so it was not surprising that there would be crowds of people in the Seoul subway.
The young man sighed heavily when he was accidentally bumped in the shoulder for the second time. He wanted to go to his quiet apartment, where no one would bother him about work or various trifles. He just wants go into his own little world while reading some book, immersing himself in a fantasy world, forgetting about the real one. This is how Kim Jeong-ui lived.
He was an ordinary 27-year-old worker in a little-known company. In his free time, he liked to go into his world, thinking about different plots and how his life would have turned out differently if he had acted differently than in the past. His colleagues at work could say that he was an ordinary smiley person in the company, who would always help and give advice. Yes, on the one hand he was, but inside Kim Jeong-ui wanted to wipe the smile off his face and spill the pent-up emotions out. But he didn't do it, because he believed that the entire reputation he had built for many years would be erased if he showed his true emotions. Who knew that on this day this whole world would turn upside down and he wouldn't have to worry about such trifles.
Kim Jeong-ui was sitting in the carriage number 3807. His eyes were fixed on his phone screen, he was reading some novel. This work was recommended to him at work, saying that it was currently popular among young people and his colleagues. Jeong-ui could only smile and force himself to read it. He loved to adapt to people and their interests too much, that it exhausted him. The novel was boring and overrated for him, that it made him sleepy. Kim Jeong-ui had read better novels. He decided to close his eyes for a couple of minutes. His stop was the last one anyway.
His light sleep was interrupted by a sharp jolt of the train. Kim Jeong-ui started and looked around. The lights in the car went out. People were shouting something about terrorists in alarm.
"Announcement to all passengers! A-all, run!" The driver's announcement sounded loudly throughout the train, but immediately stopped. The passengers were confused and scared. Some people got up from their seats or some of them continued to sit in a daze in their seats, completely succumbing to the fear of their lives.
Suddenly, a bright light appeared at the beginning of the train carriage and a loud voice was heard.
"FREE MAINTENANCE OF PLANETARY SYSTEM 8612 HAS BEEN TERMINATED. THE MAIN SCENARIO WILL NOW BEGIN."
