Chapter Text
The sun had barely risen over the bustling city when Fuwawa and Mococo, the dynamic twins duo of the police force, arrived at the precinct. Fuwawa, the more composed and serious of the two, adjusted her badge with a determined look, while Mococo bounced beside her, radiating energy and excitement. "Come on, Fuwawa! Today’s the day we catch that thief!" Mococo exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Let’s focus on the task at hand," Fuwawa replied, her voice steady but her heart racing. They had been tracking a notorious thief who had eluded capture for weeks, and Fuwawa felt a strange pressure building in her chest.
There was more at stake than just a string of petty thefts; she sensed an underlying darkness that made her uneasy. As they combed through leads and gathered intel, Fuwawa’s serious demeanor began to rub off on Mococo. The usually bubbly twin felt the weight of her sister's concern and toned down her playful nature. “Okay, okay. So what’s the plan?” Mococo asked, her excitement simmering down to a more focused energy. Fuwawa took a deep breath, her mind racing. “We need to lay a trap. The latest reports say he’s been spotted near the old warehouse district. If we set up surveillance there, we might catch him in the act.” Mococo nodded, instantly on board. “I’ll handle the gadgets! You know I’m the best at tech stuff!” It was a plan that played to both their strengths—Fuwawa's strategic mindset and Mococo's flair for improvisation. They set off to the warehouse district, their hearts pounding with a mix of adrenaline and anticipation.
The sun had dipped low, casting long shadows as they arrived to set up their surveillance equipment. As they waited, Fuwawa felt the tension in the air. "Mococo, keep your eyes peeled. I have a feeling he might strike soon." Minutes turned into an hour, and just as doubt began to creep in, a figure appeared. Cloaked in darkness, the thief moved stealthily, unaware of the trap that awaited him. Fuwawa's heart raced as she whispered, "It’s showtime."
They sprang into action, but just as they were about to apprehend the thief, he turned with a knife glinting in the fading light. Fuwawa acted instinctively, lunging forward to block Mococo from the danger. The thief slashed out, catching Fuwawa off guard and leaving her with a deep wound. “Mococo, get him!” Fuwawa shouted, her voice strained through the pain. Mococo’s eyes widened in horror but quickly transformed into determination. With a fierce battle cry, she darted forward, using her agility and quick thinking to disarm the thief. She tackled him to the ground, cuffs clicking around his wrists moments later.
Panting and adrenaline pumping, Mococo turned to her sister, who was now clutching her side, blood seeping through her fingers. “Fuwawa! Hold on, help is coming!” — “I’m...fine,” Fuwawa gasped, though it was clear she was not. “We caught him, that’s what matters.” As sirens wailed in the distance, Mococo held Fuwawa’s hand tightly, a mix of relief and fear coursing through her.
The bond they shared had carried them through countless challenges, and now, it would be that same bond that would help Fuwawa heal. “Together,” Mococo whispered, her voice steady as the medics arrived. “Always together.” In that moment, they both knew that no matter the danger ahead, they would face it side by side, just as they always had.
At the Police station.
“Mococo!” she called, trying to mask her discomfort with a smile. “Can you come here for a second?” Her twin sister, Mococo, bounded over, her energy radiating like sunlight. “What’s up, Fuwawa? Did you catch someone interesting?” Fuwawa chuckled softly, despite the pain. “Yeah, but it’s not the kind of interesting you think. I need some help with this.” She held up her hand, wincing slightly as she did. Mococo’s eyes widened, a mix of concern and mischief dancing behind them.
“Ah! You're still injured!” She leaned closer, "but... What i can do for you?" inspecting Fuwawa’s hand with exaggerated seriousness. “It’s just a little sore,” Fuwawa reassured her, though the pain was sharper than she let on. “I think I just need a few minutes to rest.” "Rest? In this place? Not on my watch!" Mococo exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Let’s make this a day to remember! We can kick back and relax right here in the break room. I’ll bring snacks!” Fuwawa shook her head, a smile creeping onto her lips.
“Mococo, we have duties to attend to—” “Duties can wait! You need pampering!” Mococo interrupted, already bouncing toward the break room. Reluctantly, Fuwawa followed, knowing that her sister’s charm could brighten even the dullest day.
Once they reached the break room, Mococo rummaged through cabinets, producing an impressive stash of snacks. “Ta-da! The ultimate lunch!” She set everything on the table, her excitement infectious. As they sat down, Fuwawa couldn’t help but admire Mococo’s spirited nature. While she preferred to take charge, Mococo’s spontaneity often pulled her out of her serious shell. “You know, you really do make everything more fun,” Fuwawa admitted, nibbling on a piece of fruit. “Of course! That’s my job as your partner in crime-fighting!” Mococo replied, winking. “Besides, we’re a team. If one of us is down, the other has to step up. Just like I did today!” Fuwawa felt a warmth inside her. “Thanks, Mococo. You always know how to lift my spirits.” “Always! Now, let’s plot our next move to catch more criminals—and maybe more snacks!” Mococo laughed, and together, they plotted their next adventure.
It was moments like these that reminded Fuwawa how lucky she was to have her sister by her side. Because in their world, it wasn’t just about fighting crime; it was about sharing joy, laughter, and the bond only twins could understand.
