Work Text:
Lumine traced over her reflection in the water. The burden of loss powdered her cheeks with pallor and tarnished her eyes with a dullness she lacked before. Stretched across the familiar frame of her bones, this was undoubtedly her face, but what lurked beneath the surface was anyone’s guess.
Her doubts dragged her deep, submerging her in the growing pile of responsibility. Could she deliver justice for all those lost? …Would it ever be enough?
With a strike of her palm, she distorted into a hundred ripples.
The solution was clear. The end held her answers.
She would get there.
