Chapter Text
She doesn't remember much. Doyle had stabbed her with a piece of wood. She remembers he fled. She remembers Derek sitting by her side as she bled. He called a medic. She remembers that. She doesn't think they got to her on time.
She doesn't want to die. She doesn't want to leave them. Her family? The BAU.
"Please dont let me die," she thinks to herself.
"I wont let you die." A loud voice booms.
She opens her eyes. It's all black, and it's cold. So, so cold.
She sees a light, far, far, away. She knows what they all say: don't go towards the light. But curiosity has undoubtedly killed the cat. Standing up, she feels weird. Her legs are shaking. She's Emily fucking Prentiss; her legs do not shake.
And yet, they are. Every step feels like a challenge, but she eventually reaches the light.
There's a man. Who the hell is he?
"Who are you?" She asks, her whole body trembling. Why isn't she dead yet?
"My name is irrelevant. Who are you?"
"SSA Emily Prentiss. FBI."
"Emily? Nice to meet you."
"Why the fuck aren't I dead?"
"I want to bring you back to life."
"Am I hallucinating? What?"
"You hear correct, Emily. Fate has brought you here. Your time is not up yet."
"Fate?"
"Yes, fate. People still need you, Emily."
"People still need me?"
"Yes. But, there is a catch. Ressurection isn't free. You will be my angel. You wont understand now, but you will soon. Good luck." With that, the mysterious man snapped his fingers, and it all went dark again.
