The ‘magus’ Faith tracks to Miami: total wannabe, no juice, no mystical knowledge. Does enjoy human sacrifice, meaning valid target … but then this guy grabs him first.
Hidden, she watches and hears what comes next: isolated, immobilized, confronted with photos of victims. Brisk kill, dismemberment into neat packets, disposal at sea. Slick, practiced … not this fella’s first time.
His mail says ‘Dexter Morgan’. Shadowed to work: a cop? Two more ‘victims’: same process, including proof of guilt.
Serial killer, sure … but he kills monsters she can’t touch.
… As long as he sticks with those, she’ll leave him be.
