Chapter Text
Lyney saw intriguingly from a distance a certain blonde, who was silently heading towards the main door of the orphanage, trying not to let anyone see him, as if he were not silent in and of himself.
"How much do you observe? It seems like you've been doing this for hours."
His sister's sudden voice only made him let out a small sigh, as he continued to watch calmly. Lynette just stayed by his side, with her monotonous expression so characteristic of herself.
"You don't think it's strange?"
The girl with catlike features moved her ears slightly with intrigue, waiting for what her brother would say.
"It's Freminet... I feel like he's been strange these days... Or well, even from what I see, the last month, I know he's a bit reserved... Or well, a lot, but now it seems like he has a secret so deep that not even the gods themselves can know it..."
Lyney sounded somewhat worried about the situation, her sister gently move her head from side to side, in a negative gesture, and gave the magician a small blow on the back of the head.
"Don't be ridiculous, surely he just must have some situation he can take care of, he's not a little kid or something."
The Pyro user complained about that blow given by his sister, while he listen to her words with attention, he knew with more than anybody that Freminet was not an irresponsible person who made decisions just because, but the intrigue and the knowledge of what his non-biological brother was hiding so much makes him feel a sensation, something similar to knowing a very juicy gossip, and Lyney was not a person one could easily stop.
"I know! But Lynette... Just think about how big the thing would be like... He doesn't even warn if he's going out, and the other day I saw how he left Pers almost anywhere, you can't deny that all of those things are strange, maybe not even Father knows about all this!"
The girl gave him a similar expression of a mother when she discovers her son doing something stupid, narrowing her eyes a little, while her eyebrows were somewhat stiffened by her brother's words. And unable to resist any longer, she slapped him on the back of the neck again, this time with a little more force than before.
"Look Lyney, I understand that you may be worried about our brother, but you should also know that he can also have a life of his own, he cannot be attached to us all his life"
A snort escaped Lyney's lips, forcing himself to have to listen to that little speech about brotherhood that the three of them shared on several occasions. A quick thought crossed his mind, so he put himself in a better position, as he walked behind his hiding place where he was standing, catching the attention of his dear sister.
"Now what are you supposed to do now?"
The gray-haired girl asked him, watching as Lyney seemed very determined in what he was going to do. The magician just laugh softly, watching her again.
"I will find out what is happening in this whole situation"
"You can't be serious Lyney..."
