Summary
It’s strange to Rei, that he’s somehow stumbled into an acquaintance with someone he can be something approaching genuine with. Strange that he’s found someone to share not his easy, mindless chatter, but more personal silences. He looks at Okiya, traces the way the moonlight falls across his cheek, the way it catches in his hair and streaks in slivers of silver and ivory. The train jostles; their knees touch. Neither of them moves apart.
