Logan tries to cut back on the alcohol and finds something else to quiet his mind - fixing stuff, working with his hands. Making Wade's life a bit better in thanks for giving Logan a brand new one, you know? Trying to help him fix things with Vanessa. Bonding with his freshly found adult daughter.
Loads of fluff with a bit of angst sprinkled in later.

It was dozens of little things Logan fixed or improved, rarely more than one a day. Still, it made Logan feel like he contributed something, like he made keeping him around worthwhile for Althea and Wade. Besides paying his share of the rent, utilities, and groceries, he was being useful, made their lives a little easier in small ways.
It quieted a part of his mind. Not the guilt and shame, not the echoes of voices, but something under that. Somehow, that made bearing the other stuff easier.
