Summary
Jayce thought it was over, that Machine Herald was no more, and they could pass on in peace. Only for him to find out its not quite over yet, and they have been called by actual celestial gods to save the few timelines left from oblivion.
Finding Viktor lost in the abyss is just the first, easiest step, as it turns out following trials are going to be far more precarious and unpredictable. Inner Demons arise, Angels fall from the wastes, celestial children need guidance, old gods haunt the abyss. What starts as a deceivingly simple mission of saving countless Viktors from themselves, spirals into something far more complex than either could’ve imagined.
Amidst all of this, there is a mantra they become painfully familiar with:
Beware the Hexdemon, for your actions have consequences.
