Work Text:

Katsuki stared at the crazy sight in front of him his hands shoved deep in his pockets, his eyebrow twitching nonstop. The common room was no longer the common room.

Somehow, actually, someone had transformed the room into a scene from a romance movie: lights hanging from the ceiling, an excessive amount of candles flickering on every surface, and there was a massive spread of desserts laid out on the coffee table.

“Alright, Half-and-Half,” he growled as he jerked his thumb toward the setup. “What the hell is all this shit?”

“It’s for you,” Todoroki said, stepping forward with a tray holding two glasses of sparkling cider. “I thought it would be nice to do something big and elegant.”

"Elegant?” Katsuki laughed, “This looks like Cupid threw up in here. You trying to kill me with all this sugary crap?”

From the stairs, Kaminari elbowed Shinsou. “Told you he’d hate it.”

Shinsou smirked. “Hate is relative. He’s still standing here, isn’t he?”

Katsuki’s scowl deepened, though he grabbed a brownie anyway, as if he would ever turn down good fucking food, muttering, “You don’t need to do all this, you know. I’m not some princess.”

Todoroki handed him a glass of cider, “You deserve to feel special Katsuki.”

He looked away, biting into his brownie with a low grumble. “You’re still a damn extra for this.

As Katsuki muttered about the “ridiculous” decorations and the amount of food, Kaminari leaned over to Shinsou as he whispered into his ear, “He’s loving it. Look at his ears—they’re as red as his eyes.”

Shinsou chuckled as he looped an arm around his boyfriend. “Todoroki knows what he’s doing.”

Katsuki caught their smug looks from across the room as he turned with a glare. “You two wanna be part of the damn decorations? Keep talking.”

Todoroki sipped his drink. “They’re just jealous they didn’t think of it first.”

Shinsou tilted his head, a smirk on his face, “He’s not wrong.”

Kaminari grinned and pressed a kiss to Shinsou’s cheek. “Guess we’ll have to outdo them next time.”

Meanwhile, Katsuki, still grumbling, reached for another dessert. “You’re lucky these taste good, Icyhot.”

Todoroki simply smiled as he watched while Katsuki slowly become more comfortable as the night went on.
