   May placed their foreheads together. “I forgive you for everything,” May let out a shaky breath as she continued, “but can you forgive me, Ai?”

   Ai-oon thought back to their beginning. How she felt so loved by May when they first kissed. How she was mesmerized by how May treated her wounds with so much care and tenderness. How May made her feel so safe, despite them only knowing each other for so little time.
   Because of May, she was able to dream again. Now May was right in front of her. Why would she let go of the balloon that was already in her hands?
