Katsuki leaned back on the couch, a rare moment of peace hanging between him and Todoroki as the others walked around the dorm. Kaminari and Shinsou ran in, a grin plastered across Kaminari's face.
“Alright, lovebirds,” Kaminari said, plopping down onto their. “Game time. Truth or dare—Shinsou and I against you two.”
“No.” Katsuki said flatly, already making a move to get off the couch. Kaminari ignored him, boldly shoving him back onto the couch and expertly dodging an explosive palm.
“Truth: who’s the bigger softie?” Kaminari wiggled his eyebrows at Todoroki.
“I’ll answer,” Todoroki said calmly. “It’s not Katsuki.”
“The hell it isn’t!” Katsuki barked. “You’re the one who saves all the damn kittens and—”
“Alright, dare then,” Kaminari interrupted, leaning toward Katsuki with a wicked smirk. “I dare you to say something sweet to Todoroki.”
Katsuki’s lips curled into a grin so dangerous that Kaminari momentarily feared for his life. “Sure. Hey, Icyhot, I love how your blank face makes people think you’re deep. Real sweet of you to confuse the extras.”
Shinsou snorted while Kaminari burst into laughter, nearly falling off the couch. Todoroki blinked, then smirked. “That was sweet in your way, I suppose."
As Kaminari tried to catch his breath, Shinsou leaned over, “I think you two just lost your own game.”
Katsuki stood, grabbing Todoroki’s wrist. “C’mon, Icyhot. Let’s leave these dumbasses to their mess.”
“Smooth escape,” Todoroki muttered as they walked out. Katsuki’s wicked grin never left his face.
As they left the room, Katsuki muttered loud enough for Kaminari and Shinsou to hear, "Maybe they should play 'Who’s the Bigger Dumbass' next. Wouldn’t even need a tie-breaker."
Kaminari groaned from the couch. "Why is he so mean during the holidays? It’s supposed to be the season of joy!"
Shinsou smirked as he wrapped an arm around Kaminari. "You invited him to play. That’s on you."
Meanwhile, Todoroki glanced at Katsuki, "You’re oddly competitive for someone who claims not to care."
Katsuki rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, somebody’s gotta teach the extras they can’t outsmart me. Besides," he added with a smirk, "it’s kinda fun watching you play along."
Todoroki raised an eyebrow. "Play along?"
Katsuki stopped in the hallway, leaning in closer with his trademark grin. "Yeah. You act like you’re clueless, but you’re just as bad as me. You baited me on purpose."
Todoroki’s lips twitched into a faint smile. "You’re very observant."
"Damn right," Katsuki muttered as he tugged Todoroki down the hallway. "Now, let’s raid the kitchen. I’m not letting those two idiots have the last of the cookies."
Back in the common room, Kaminari flopped back onto Shinsou’s shoulder, "Think we rattled him?"
"Not a chance," Shinsou replied, stealing a quick kiss. "But I think they’ll have fun pretending we did."
