“What will our little hoglet be trying today?” Sonic asks as he lifts Silver into his highchair. “Guacamole.” Shadow replies, scooping some of the green mush into a bowl.
As Shadow walks across the kitchen, Silver squeals, slapping the tray of his highchair with his tiny paws. “Here comes the spaceship.” Shadow sings in his gruff voice, steering a spoonful of guacamole towards Silver's open mouth.
Silver eagerly accepts the guacamole, munching on it happily. After a few moments he swallows the mouthful, and opens his mouth to accept another spoonful. Shadow smiles proudly as Silver eats the guacamole. “That's my boy.” He murmurs, wiping away a green smudge on Silver's muzzle.
Sonic leans against his husband, smiling warmly. “He's taking after you more every day.” He says, kissing Shadow's cheek. “He certainly is.” Shadow replies, watching Silver closely. “I'm just glad he isn't a picky eater like you.” Shadow then says, nudging Sonic playfully. “And I'm glad he isn't a grump like you are.” Sonic replies. Shadow puts an arm around Sonic, tugging him close. “I’m not that much of a grump, am I?” He kisses him on the forehead, snuggling his muzzle into him.
Silver slams on the table with his small paws, demanding more guacamole. They both look up in surprise. Silver babbles impatiently, which makes Sonic laugh. “Looks like our little guy is a fan of guac! He takes after his dads.” He picks up another spoonful of guacamole feeding it to the hungry hoglet. Shadow smiles, and reaches out, gently squishing Silver's cheek. “That's our boy.”
