Work Text:
“Hey, no, fuck you Dickhead. We are not watching Lilo and Stitch again” Jason slurped at his cola-flavoured Mr Freeze, staring at his eldest brother across the car as if he could mind control Dick into having better movie taste.
Unsurprisingly, it didn’t work.
When he was first adopted into the family, Dick had been obsessed with Lilo and Stitch and pretty much every other family-orientated Disney movie out at the time. As much as Jason liked to get all annoyed and act like he didn't care about Dick’s attempts at being an older brother, Jason felt warm and content whenever Dick would message asking about having a movie night or that he was coming for family dinner, knowing that he had people there for him now.
It was the same when he would walk out of school in the afternoons to find Bruce waiting to pick him up, knowing that it would have been so much easier to have Alfred pick him up but taking the time off of work anyway, just because he could, even if it meant finishing tasks the next day.
“Jason, my brother in serial adoption, I love you, but I cannot sit and listen to this slander upon the great name of Lilo & Stitch. It's a masterpiece.” Dick argued, completely incorrect.
After being bullied by his patients his whole shift over memes, video games, and scrub shirt preferences, Jason wanted a nice BatBurger run and movie night with his brothers. Clearly, that wasn’t going to happen.
“Dick, I love you, but no. Not again.” Jason stood firm in his stance, desperately hoping that Dick would give in. Dick’s attempt at puppy dog eyes mostly just looked like he was constipated.
“Jason” Dick pleaded.
“Dick” If Jason could make it through a work shift of listening to kids screaming to go home just because their height had to be measured, he could make it through this no sweat.
“Jason”
“Dick”
“Jason”
“Dick”
They went on for nearly a full minute before Dick finally broke.
“Fine Jason, what would you suggest?”
“Big Hero 6 obviously, It’s so good, plus I don't think Damian or Carrie have seen it yet” If there was one compromise Jason could make with Dick, it was in the name of his siblings.
“I’ll accept that, I think Carrie might have seen it with her friends last week, though.”
Win.
As they pulled into the garage of the manor and walked inside with the bag of food, Jason’s phone rang, the caller ID reading ‘Timberlina’.
“Hey Timbo, What’s up?” Jason asked, phone on speaker as he balanced it on top of the tray of drinks he was holding.
“Where are you guys? I was only in the bathroom for like two minutes?”
Jason and Dick made eye contact and burst out laughing.
