“You’re what?” Katsuki said as he sat up so fast on the couch he thought he strained a muscle. His book fell to the floor with a thud, but he didn’t care.

“Leaving,” Todoroki replied as he pulled on his coat. “Family dinner.”

Katsuki’s eyebrows shot up. “You’re seriously ditching me to eat with him?” His voice dripped with disdain, and everyone knew exactly who he meant.

“You’re coming too,” Todoroki said, wrapping his scarf around his neck.

Katsuki blinked. “What the hell are you talking about?”

“I told my father I’d only go if I could bring someone I trust.” Todoroki glanced at the fiery blonde.

“That’s your pitch? Dragging me to the Fire King’s dungeon like some kind of peace offering?” Katsuki growled, shoving to his feet. “You’re lucky I don’t just—”

“You agreed last week,” Todoroki interrupted him, “I told you then. Did you forget?”

Shinsou and Kaminari were nearby in the kitchen, trying to conceal their laughter from Katsuki, “He’s already roped you in, dude,” Kaminari teased him.

Katsuki grabbed his jacket and a scarf with a snarl. “Fine. But if your old man says one thing outta line, I’m burning the whole place down.”

Todoroki nodded, “I'm fine with that as long as I get all his credit cards first.”

As the two of them walked out, Kaminari looked at Shinsou. “Think Endeavor knows he’s about to get roasted at his own dinner table?”

Shinsou smirked. “If he doesn’t, he’s in for a surprise.”

Hours later, Shinso and Kaminari were not surprised to hear that explosions had been heard at the house of the #2 hero. Officially, the authorities labeled it a kitchen fire, but they both knew better than that.
