“There was this guy that... wanted to ask him for his number.” Buck says, slightly anxious.
In addition to her wide opened eyes, she also shoots up her eyebrows, “A guy asked Eddie out?”
“No, he didn’t, I stopped him.”
“You stopped him?” she says slowly. If Maddie would open her eyes just a bit more, they’d certainly fall right out. “How?”
“He came over to me to ask if he was single.” Buck explains. Maddie looks at him questioningly, waiting for more information. He continues, “And I said he wasn’t.”
Maddie looks at him confused, “I thought he was?”
Buck shoots his hands up, “Yes, exactly! That’s why I have no idea why I said that.”
