Chapter 1: Awakening

Chapter Text

Izumi woke up the next day and saw that she and Shigaraki were still in the Heian Period. She breathed as she pondered what to do. For some reason, she was with the man who was supposed to be her enemy, but now, for some reason, her Return Card would not work, and some of her few select cards would not work either. At least she can still use the central element cards and some of her stronger ones.

"Ah, I see you are up." The woman who sheltered them smiled as she brought some warm miso soup.

"Thank you. Ah, forgot." Izumi stood up and bowed. "I'm Izumi of the Midoriya family."

"A pleasure. I'm Tsuru of the Fujimi Family." The woman introduced herself. "I'll be back, I'll get some water." Tsuru departed.

Izumi then heard Shigaraki stir. "Ugh..."

"Looks like Sleeping Beauty is finally up." Kero said.

"Huh? What? Where am I?" Shigaraki asked as he looked around.

"Hey, Shigaraki," Izumi said, getting his attention.

He then got mad. "What in the world happened?!"

"More like time. We are in the past. The Heian Period to be precise."

Shigaraki looked stunned. "Heian?! That's about 1500 years behind our time!"

"Least you know some history. Did the Mist man teach you?"

"No........My master did."

That made Izumi pause. "So I was right, you do answer to someone else."

Shigaraki was about to respond when they heard a scream.

"Tsuru!" Izumi rushed and found......

A giant creature with demonic features grabbed Tsuru. He looked similar to a squid.

"An oni!" Izumi then got her staff out and summoned Strength to counter the big Oni, making him drop Tsuru as she hid.

"Ah, another mortal, and this one can use magic. Interesting, maybe I should take you to Tarakudo, I can sense your magic is strong." He sneered.

"In your dreams. Firey!" Izumi summoned Firey out and countered the orange squid with a fire blast, thankfully not hitting any foliage.

It went on for a while until something unexpected happened.

Shigaraki appeared and touched the Oni on the side of his face, making it crumble.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" He yelled in pain, getting away. 'Ah, *Hiss* He destroyed my left eye!' "You will pay for that!" He then leaped at Shigaraki as a commotion was raised in a nearby town that was watching everything.

Izumi then remembered she had something to help. She put something in her bag and flung it at the Oni's other eye.

"AH! My eye! What is this stuff?!"

"Spicy pepper and onion mix. Too hot for you?!" Izumi said as the Oni raised his arms.

"My minions come to me. Destroy these humans!" He ordered as shadowy squids appeared to attack.

"Thunder!" Izumi summoned the kaiju and countered the squids as Shigaraki moved to the paralyzed Oni.

"What could you benefit from destroying me?" He asked.

"Nothing. I'm just in a bad mood and need to vent my anger." Shigaraki snarled as he grabbed the Oni's face with both hands, all fingers making contact.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The Oni screamed in pain as it died out, and he became nothing but dust.

The shadowy squids writhed in pain before they vanished, too.

The people hiding nearby were shocked as they came out, along with Tsuru.

"You....you defeated Orenji." Tsuru gasped.

"Eh?"

"You alright Shigaraki?" Izumi asked.

"Hail Midoriya and Shigaraki! Orenji is dead!" One person cheered as the others followed.

"Eh? You're happy he is dead?" Shigaraki asked, a bit irritated.

"Of course. Orenji is an Oni general; he made our village miserable for years, hoarding more food for himself here. We practically lived on the brink of starvation." A farmer said.

-------------------
As the sunset over the celebration, Izumi knew they could not stay long.

"We have to leave tomarrow." Izumi told Shigaraki.

"Leave? To where?" Shigaraki said, eating some fish.

"Probablly another town where the Oni are. I recall hearing of them revolving around Tarakudo, the Shadowkhan king. He also wont be happy we killed one of his generals and send another one after us. If my memory of isekai anime is right, we can't leave until he's dead." Izumi said.

"In other words we have to save Heian Japan from an evil force? Ugh." Shigaraki scratched his neck.

"You're a gamer, aren't you? Do you often play a hero because you secretly desire to? I'm not asking you to quit being a villain in our time, but if we want to return home, we must work as a team." Izumi said.

Shigaraki thought this over.

He is in a bad position due to the outcome of the failed invasion. Plus, master is waiting for him.

And if he is lucky, he could lower the majokko's guard enough so he can finally kill her and brag about it to All Might to make him a failure.

"Fine."

Chapter Text

After leaving the village, Izumi and Shigaraki headed through a forest, as their destination were to Tarakudo's Palace.

They stopped at a stream for fish when Izumi spotted certain fish.

"Ah, salmonrooms! Fish with mushrooms for tails, they make a great summer-autumn meal." She caught some to prepare.

She also smiled as she prepared it with onion spice.

"Although I can't use much."

"Eh?" Shigaraki said from his sitting position.

"You don't know? Onis hate onions, some people would sleep with one under their pillows so they dont attack at night." Izumi explained.

Shigaraki rolled his eyes.

Then he heard something.

It set him on edge as he saw a white wolf with purple markings as it growled.

It looked familiar to Izumi, but she realized him.

She quickly bowed to show respect to the towering wolf.

"Great Battlewolf Guinness. It is an honor."

The wolf looked surprised as it changed form.

He was now a youth, looking no older than Shigaraki.

"While I appreciate the respect, what are you doing in my forest?"

"The Shadowkhan are on the move, and we defeated one of Tarakudo's Generals. Orenji." Izumi explained. "We need to defeat him if we are to return home."

"You defeated Orenji?" Guinness asked surprised.

"Shigaraki actually, he destroyed him." Izumi looked at Shigaraki who looked tense.

"I can tell. He has the strength to back it up. And you are clearly a powerful mage."

-----------
Meanwhile,

Tarakudo received news about Orenji.

"Who was responsible for this?" He asked his second in command, Ikazuki.

"We were told it was a male with pale blue hair, and a woman with bright green hair. The woman has powerful magic and the male destroyed Orenji just be touching him."

"Find these humans, and bring them to me."

"Yes, Lord Tarakudo."

Chapter Text

Izumi and Shigaraki found themselves with Guinness, as the only female told him what was going on and that they needed to get back home.

But it was easier said than done.

Since they attacked one of Tarakudo's Generals.

Now they have targets on their backs.

"I can't believe it. One minute I'm getting ready To destroy a bunch of wannabe heroes. And the next thing I know, I have to play nice to one of them To find a way back home and destroy some Demon overlord." Shigaraki grumbled.

"Hey I didn't ask for it to happen either. Some of my cards like Return aren't working either, so we are stuck here until Tarakudo is dead." Izumi said as they traveled.

They also hit a village where Izumi spotted another familiar being.

It was Count D, only he was much younger, hair was long....wait, he doesn't have heterochromatic eyes.....this is Count's great grandfather, Count C.

"Guinness. It's been a while. And I see you brought guests. Bliss is here too. She's in her chrysalis state." He said.

Bliss as well, only she didn't have her wings, and was still a chrysalis.

--------------------
At dinner, Izumi and Shigaraki a bowl of rice as the staple, accompanied by various seafood dishes like grilled fish, dried fish, shellfish, and possibly some vegetables, often served with a soup and pickled vegetables.

Retelling what had happened, Count C looked really happy.

"So it's finally happening. The Green Spring
and the Mourning Death Tree have come to stop him."

Huh?

Guinness looked at the pair. "Well, it has been foretold that a child of the Green Valley and a child of the Mourning Death Tree would appear to unite 10 of the most powerful animals in the world. And put an end to Tarakudo's reign once and for all.

Izumi was surprised but Shigaraki looked like he swallowed something sour.

Him? Be a hero through a prophecy?! Sounds like something for a bad video game.

"How could we be heroes? We are meant to be enemies in our time."

"Shigaraki. Names have power. My name means Spring Green. Yours mean Mourning Death Tree. When it comes to magic, there is no mistake." Izumi said. "And if we want to return home, we need to find the others. And I think I know who else can help."

-----------
In certain areas in Japan, certain animals felt the shift as something big was going to happen.

----------
Meanwhile, another Oni General looked overhead at a village.

"Let's go my Mantis Khan. We'll succeed where Orenji has failed." He smirked.

The Mantis Khan have mantis-like arms and four legs that have spikes on them all over. They are completely black with a dark red, triangle-shaped top covering. They have one, glowing, red eye.

-----
Then the group heard screams.

"Run! It's Aka and the Mantis Khan!" Someone yelled.

Izumi looked out and saw them attacking.

She took out Sleep to slow down the Mantis Khan as she saw the leader.

Aka, was keeping a distance as he saw Guinness turn into his Battlewolf form quickly taking down his minions.

"If I destroy that dog and the boy, it'll be hopeless for them......or rather...." He looks at Izumi.

Shigaraki suddenly saw that Aka was heading for Izumi, and before he knew it, he was standing in front of her, turning Aka's hand into dust.

Aka screamed in pain, and then a new voice emerged, like a bright hum.

It was Bliss, and she was emerging from her chrysalis as a full Divine Moth.

She then took Aka into her grasp and struck him with her stinger, killing him.

With their master gone, the Mantis Khan vanished.

The village rejoiced seeing Aka dead as Bliss floated down.

"Bliss, thank you." Izumi said before she turned to Shigaraki.

"You...actually saved me." Izumi said surprised.

".....I didn't even notice. My legs moved on their own." He said.

Izumi smiled. "Well, thank you anyway."

Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Chapter Text

The next day, now accompanied by Bliss and Count C, the group of 5 continued to travel.

"Count, do you know where we can find the closest powerful beast?" Izumi asked.

"That would be the Phantom Beast Herac, king of all horses. However, Sekaiko is reaching her limit as she is pregnant. And she is all the way in the Rain Continent to have her child in peace." He said.

"Thats....gonna be difficult. Even though her child will be born with enough knowledge to help, getting there will be difficult." Izumi said.

Tomura looked confused. "What's the Rain Continent and Herac?"

"Ah, right. You don't know of them either. The Rain Continent is a mostly desolate land that constantly experiences all manner of odd and deadly rainstorms and other unusual weather anomalies. We can get there by traversing through Yutou Island which avoids the Poison Tide. After reaching the east shore of Yutou Island, one must cross the Gold Swamp before they can enter the continent's mainland. There is no ocean at the center of the continent like shown in the map but has a wasteland called Heavy Rain Region where rain falls endlessly which becomes identical like an ocean. Virtually every kind of rain falls on the mainland like the Mega Rain, Amedama and the Poison Rain, and so on. Apparently the reason for the all the rain is because of the Herac species. As aerovores, they can consume a massive amount of air, and as a result causes a large drop in pressure, with Heracles alone being able to consume around 350 billion tons of air." Izumi explained.

"Seriously?!" Tomura yelled. "How are we supposed to get through that?!"

"I had training to withstand severe air pressure, rain pressure too. Many powerful creatures adapted to it too. Guinness and Bliss for example. They are a Battlewolf and a Divine Monarch."

Tomura just stared at the girl as they continued on.

"A question though......are you able to use.......magic?"

"Took you that long, huh?" Kero snipped.

Izumi scolded the plushie, and nodded. "Yeah, it's the Power of the Midori Cards."
---------
After 3 days without interruption from the Shadowkhan, despite some difficulty, the group arrived at the Horse Valley where Sekaiko is resting.

But then, Guinness growled as he sensed something coming.

"The Bat Khan. Kiiro is here."

"We'll hold them off, you get to Sekaiko, she's about to give birth." Bliss said.

Izumi nodded and took Tomura with her.

The Herac Beast saw them coming and was about to growl when Izumi bowed. "I mean no harm. I just want to be sure you and your child are ok."

Sekaiko stared for a bit, but relaxed.

Izumi got Aroma to help the expecting mother, no going back now.

"Tomura, make sure no Bat Khan gets near."

"No need to tell me." He said as he dusted some already.

After a while, Kiiro appeared.

He was about to target the mother when his wings were dusted by Tomura and he got bitten apart by Guinness.

Thankfully, they did it in time too.

A new Herac was born, a healthy female too.

Izumi knew it was Hera.

-------------
Three Onis down, 7 to go.

Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Chapter Text

Rairakku looked over the land at night as he frowned.

He had not heard from Kiiro yet as one of his Ninja Khan appeared and informed him what happened.

"Kiiro was defeated?" He growled.

"Hmph, he was the most impulsive out of all of us." Murasaki said. "And what's worse, the brats are gathering the strongest animals against us."

"We cant have that. If I remember, another strong beast is in The Time Channel. Let's head them off." Rairakku said as the Blade and Ninja Khan moved.

-----------------
"The closest one here is a creature called the Sky Deer. Incredibly powerful, it's said they possess the power of the Back Channel." Count said.

"Back Channel?" Tomura asked.

"Yeah, Atlas, he is hailed as being actually able to cause such strong Intimidation that it implants itself into the very ground, making the very ground afraid, from a mere footprint, while remaining so potent that even after thousands of years, that footprint will emanate so strongly with the Intimidation. On the contrary, when in a good mood, the land where he will have tread may become a veritable paradise for beasts of all kinds to gather. He seldom fights, but when he does, it's over for his enemies." Bliss said.

"When he does get angry by any chance, it can conjure up and trap its opposition in a unique Back Channel that speeds up the passage of time rather than slow it like a normal one. This acceleration rapidly ages and starves the target. Its why those on his land dont fight and get him mad." Izumi adds.

"So, essentially, he has the power to control aging to fight? Sick." Tomura said impressed.

-----------------
Now they had arrived at the place, unknown to them, it really was the Sky Deer Atlas, until Rairakku and Murasaki appeared to fight. In the process, Rairakku damaged some of the land, incurring Atlas's anger.

And before they knew it, Murasaki and Rairakku were caught in a back channel, resulting in their deaths.

-------------
Settling down for the night, Izumi was watching the night sky as Tomura laid down.

"Well, so far we got 4 Oni Generals. It's a personal best so far. Though, even with magic, I've wondered what the world was like without quirks, not being judged by the power you have."

"Or better yet, without villains or heroes." Shigaraki suddenly said. "A world where parents didn't have to be afraid that their kid might manifest a dangerous Quirk, a world where kids didn't accidentally hurt people with a power they didn't know how to control, a world where people wouldn't be afraid to stop and help someone who needed it... I think it would be better."

"It wasn't always good. Before Quirks, they still had wars, and one resulted in 85 million deaths, about a third of the world's population, and most were civilians." Izumi said.

Shigaraki was surprised, but they talked a little longer before having to sleep.

Chapter 6: Chapter 6

Chapter Text

A month had passed since Tomura and Izumi were flung back in time.

And right now they had found the Pyraminx, Vulcan to help in their quest.

However, it had also been quiet since 5 Oni Generals attacked them.

"They are probably rethink a strategy..." Izumi breathed as she sat down.

The group had decided to stop at a natural hot spring to relax.

Izumi was in a hot spring with cherry blossoms around the place, with the full moon in the clear sky. At least the weather is nice.

Breathing in, she contemplated where to head off.

After the Wul Volcano, the closest place is the Gourmet Garden, where she knows Velvet, the Mother Snake resides.

And thinking back, she and Tomura are meeting the Ten Kings before they were known as the Ten Kings. They were all fairly young too.

Anyway, the Gourmet Garden is a vast and beautiful glowing valley containing numerous diverse flowers that are constantly being showered in a brilliant light. It is also where a legendary dessert called EARTH is, which the Mother Snake protects. EARTH ripens from the flower bed of Gourmet Garden into a magnificent pink and gold dessert, that appears as soft ice cream.

Izumi was deep in her thoughts when she heard a splash. She thought it was only Kero when she spotted a certain mop of hair.

Tomura was in the hot spring too, and his towel at the waist left little to the imagination.

While he originally looked lanky, he gained some muscle, and over the journey, his pecs, arms and abs became more defined. She also suddenly noticed his hair got a little longer too. However, signs of his eczema appeared around his eyes, but slowly vanished as he stepped in the spring.

She quickly vanished behind a rock, not to see him.

Tomura blinked as he realized Izumi was there too. And certainly noticing her figure.

"Why are you here too?" Tomura asked.

"This hot spring does not have gender rooms, plus I needed a bath after a long day!" Izumi yelled.

"Mmm. So we have to find a Mother Snake next?" Tomura changed the subject, not looking at Izumi.

"Ah, yeah. The Mother Snake is one of the largest known beasts and strongest of all reptiles, a fully grown one has a body length the circumference of the Earth. Just one part of its titanic body is so massive in size that it resembles a gigantic wall, with ordinary humans appearing like ants next to it. Animals also bow to it, not out of respect though, but because a Mother Snake will eat any creature whose face it sees. They have amazing speed, even as a child and can reach 400 kilometers an hour, and an adult is said to be as fast as a meteor. They are also capable of creating enormous, deadly tornadoes in its trail, which built up horizontally as opposed to vertically. And those tornadoes can last for ages." Izumi explained.

Tomura sighed. Another day, another perilous journey huh?

But at that time, another band of Shadowkhan appeared, the Crab Khan. As Izumi didn't have her cards at the moment, Shigaraki had to counter them himself.

As it turns out, in the water, help came from an unexpected source.

A dark shadow suddenly cast upon a figure nearby, and it was covered in so much poison, they dies.

That was the Oni General Kuro, and his Crab Khan vanished.

"Apologies, but it is rude to interrupt a lady when she's bathing."

It was Noir, the Emperor Crow.

----------
After that, with Izumi and Tomura dressed, Noir informed them of something important.

"I noticed your activity, and I'm willing to help. I also informed other individuals and we'll be meeting at the Pangaea Pinacle." He said.

"I've heard of it. It's known as the Food Utopia, located 35,000 kilometers beneath the Earth's surface. and it is shown to be a land full of plentiful ingredients, with more ingredients birthing and multiplying every few seconds, gushing out like a volcano. The amount of food there can feed the world for generations to come." Izumi said.

"Really does sound like a Food Paradise." Tomura remarked.

"Who else is coming?" Count asked.

"Moon, the Moon Whale, Exacal the Derous Dragon, Velvet, the Mother Snake and Kamuri the Thunder Kong."

Izumi smiled. She knew they can beat Tarakudo yet.
------------
Meanwhile, a certain Oni lord was putting on armor.

"Fine. We'll deal with them MY way." He growled.

Chapter 7: Chapter 7

Chapter Text

Heading over to Pangaea Pinacle, the group rode on Noir and Bliss to the place, Izumi smiling, knowing if things go well, they could return home.

Tomura was a little silent as he rode with Izumi on Noir, some of others keeping up in their animal forms too.

"You mentioned that this guy's an Emperor Crow. He crazy powerful too?"

"Yeah, he's from the Cloud Continent, a very harsh land, even by Magical standards. The place is mainly described as a area full of poisonous clouds mostly because of the Emperor Crow's abilities. Due to its ability to spread deadly poison with just a flap of its wings, it is said that all creatures entering the shadow cast by the Crow King will stop thinking and die. But Its true power is shown by being able to create shadows anywhere around its being, even above its own body. The key to this ability is that the Crow King creates a powerful miniature sun of concentrated light energy, which in turn gives creation to shadows. Those who find themselves in these shadows cannot think and are ravaged to non-existence by the energies generated by the Crow King's miniature sun. They are incredibly fast fliers, capable of flapping their wings with great strength and speed and can ride air currents with absolute swiftness and precision, moving so fast that the human eye might not even be able to keep track of it." Izumi explained.

Tomura nodded impressed. "And the others that are going to help us?"

"Well, I already told you of the Mother Snake, so I can explain about the others. They include Exacal, a Derous Dragon. A powerful species of dragon from the world's distant past. It was said to be the strongest dragon to have ever lived, using the power of its single, mighty fang to rule the world. The Derous is thought to have lived for 10,000 years. Its most notable trait lies in its mouth which is completely devoid of teeth except for its one enormous tusk-like fang which is of incredible durability and its bottom lip is parted in a certain way for its massive tooth to fit. His tooth is so sharp, it can destroy entire mountains.

Black Hole Whale, the Ocean King. We also call him Moon. The species gets its name from the fact that it can absorb almost anything it desires (even moon-sized objects) as though it were a Black Hole, and the entire region it resides in is completely devoid of light, further enhancing its resemblance to a Black Hole. The Black Hole Whale is reputed to absorb all light and matter.

Kamuri, a Thunder Kong. Leader of all primates, it normally lives in mountainous areas isolated from man, gaining power from thunderstorms and can power an entire country for 20 years, and its bolts of lightning can be equivalent to 9 atomic bombs when serious. When mad, he can also cause tsunamis when near a body of water, which can last 40 days. His tail can also create energy for its attacks and emits an anti-gravity field, allowing him to fly through the air with minimal effects from aerodynamic resistance and gravity."

"Heh, with how you describe them, they could easily be animal kings." Tomura said.

"Look at us. One minute we were fighting, now we have to save Japan from an evil Overlord. This is not really what I signed up for when I wanted to go to U.A." Izumi sighed.

"...Come to think of it, what is high school like?" Tomura asked.

"Homeschooled huh? Well, back at CLAMP Academy, we all learn English, Math, Science and PE as subjects, every semester exchanges Social Studies, Music, Art Creative Writing and Home Economics. And the books contained advanced lessons. Even in Computer Skills, Visual and Digital Art Skills, Cooking Skills, Survival Skills, Acrobatic and Gymnastic Training along with intense physical and muscular training and Detective Skills! The difference is that at U.A. we have practical heroics and and then theoretical heroics, which is legal stuff and ethics and things like that. Besides the heroics classes, it's basically just a normal high school." Izumi said.

"CLAMP doesn't have heroics as a course?"

"Not really, we learn on our own terms. Mostly during the summer when the fun courses are avaliable."Izumi said.

"Well, at least they don't pressure ya. Why go over to U.A. if CLAMP was excellent?"

"It was still my dream to go there. So, did my other friends."

Tomura just dropped the subject after that.

-------------
Finally, they arrived at their destination...

Pangaea Pinacle really is a food Wonderland as Izumi thought as they met up with the other strong animals.

"I heard Tarakudo's on the move after we defeated 6 of his Generals already." Count stated as they all sat down to a lavish meal.

"Which ones are under his command now?" Kero asked.

"Aside from Tarakudo himself, there is Ikazuki, leader of the Samurai Khan, and Tarakudo's right hand, Mosugurin of the Mini Khan, and Midori of the Sumo Khan." Guinness explained.

"From what I know, The Sumo Khan are incredibly durable and strong to the point that they can rival even powerful martial artists. Due to their size, their movements are slower and less agile than those of other Shadowkhan tribes. Only by traveling through shadows they can move quickly.

The Samurai Khan are strong, durable and experts at swordsmanship. They wield swords made of shadows that were shown to have no difficulty cutting through anything.

The Mini Khan are the smallest of all Shadowkhan, looking like little sharks on legs. They seem rather pathetic, that is, until they begin eating humans' shadows, causing them to grow progressively in size and putting the victim into a coma. With enough shadows to feed it, a single Mini Khan can grow as big as a skyscraper. If multiple Shadowkhan consume one whole shadow of a person, they will only grow as much as they ate. But once they are defeated, the shadows return to their owners." Bliss explained.

Izumi was tense, but she knew she had to win.

They had to win.

---------------
Izumi stared out on the land that night as she felt that she couldn't sleep.

"Oi, you an insomniac? You seem to do this more."

"Just a little nervous. No offense but, your attack on the USJ could hardly count as one. Stain’s was petty, but had an underlying cause. This is probably the first time I'll be facing real evil." Izumi said.

"Izumi?" Tomura suddenly asked, surprising the girl. Because it was the first time he said her name.

"Y-yeah?"

"I've been told by Sensei that heroes are selfish, that they only care about money and fame...but.....so far.....I have not seen any of that from you. You even plan to start an agency, just sponsor martial arts and arts schools. Was.........everything my master told me wrong?" He begun to shake.

Izumi was surprised but she subconsciously embraced Tomura, patting his head.

"I'll tell you as many times as you need to hear it, Shigaraki, it's not your fault. There isn't a single five year old in the world who would notice that sort of complex manipulation, and All for One has had two hundred years to practice on adults and heroes and other villains just as smart as him. You weren't stupid, you were just young and vulnerable, too much happened to you too quickly." Izumi said.

They were like that for a while, until Izumi noticed it was getting late.

Taking Tomura's hand, they went to bed.

Chapter 8: Chapter 8, Final...or is it?

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Morning finally crawls with a sunrise and Izumi is making sure she is ready.

Tomura was flexing his fingers, knowing this could be his biggest fight yet.

They knew Tarakudo would come looking for them, so, they left Pangaea Pinacle so he would not attack the place.

Tomura was a bit bummed he would be unable to go back to that food paradise.

But Izumi assured him it still exists in their time but it is closely guarded.

---------
Tarakudo was overlooking the land with his remaining 3 generals as he smirked. Those brats would not be prepared this time.

He summoned all the Shadowkhan for attack knowing it will draw his opposition out.

----------
As the animal warriors, Count, Izumi and Tomura traveled to Tarakudo's Palace, they saw some fire at villages around the land.

"Not even at the Palace yet, and he's deciding to draw us out. Rain, Cloud, Aqua, douse the flames!" Izumi said as he companions emerged and made it rain.

Then Izumi gained a idea.

"Labyrinth, come. Entrap the Oni!" She said, making the Palace a Labyrinth maze.

"Alright, we should splint into teams." Izumi said as they all paired up.

Moon and Kamuri

Velvet and Bliss

Vulcan and Noir

Hera and Atlas

And Guinness and Exacal was with Count, Tomura and Izumi.

----------
"Looks like the Spring Maiden is playing with us. Plus this Labyrinth is very powerful." Tarakudo mused.

"Shouldn't we find a way out or destroy this?" Mosugurin asked.

"If we do, it may be an illusion, and we'll end up attacking each other. Besides, the Ten beasts are here as well. It won't be easy to fight them."
----------
In the progress, Mosugurin found himself facing Velvet and Bliss, the latter winning quickly.

Midori was also no match against Noir and Vulcan.

While young, Hera was too fast for Ikazuki with Atlas taking him down.
-----------

Tarakudo himself, was pitted against Tomura and Izumi's team. He did put up a good fight until Tomura dusted his arm.

As Tarakudo breathed heavily, the other animals arrived in case he tried something.

"Last chance, Tarakudo. Surrender and we'll let you live." Izumi said.

Well, Tarakudo refused, so all the animals used their best attacks. And in the process, Tomura relived his worst memories, and his hair turned white.

Izumi, also unleashed Cosmic to awaken the Zodiac animals.

And finally, Tarakudo was gone.

Labyrinth came down however, the Shadowkhan for some reason, still remained.

Tomura growled. "You wish to take us on?"

But to his and Izumi's surprise.........

The nine Shadowkhan tribes bowed to them!

"Huh?" The pair said.

"Ah that's right. The Shadowkhan are also a hierarchical race. They respond to a leader. Since you two defeated Tarakudo, you're the new King and Queen of the Shadowkhan." Count explained to their shock.
-------
Word of what happened quickly spread throughout all of Japan.

"Tarakudo is GONE!" A man cheered waving the damaged flag of the Oni.

"WE'RE FREEEEEEE!"
--------

People across Japan wept in happiness as they celebrated with food, drink and dancing.

"No work for three days! We're gonna party until we can't stand!"

--------
Izumi and Tomura were in Tarakudo's old Palace as they watched the festivities.

'It's like it should be...' Izumi thought.

She was dressed in a royal green kimono fitting for an empress.

And Tomura was in black and red robes fit for a king.

At least the Shadowkhan had good taste...

They were even shown various rooms where Tarakudo stashed all the spoils he stole from other rulers he had killed.

One of which was The Lost Treasure of Ching Xi Hung, a legendary and vast treasure in the possession of Shendu before Tarakudo defeated him. According to Izumi, it was worth 10,000 times more than the top 30 Heroes will ever make in their lives. COMBINED.

And now it was theirs.

The other treasures included a Golden Dragon, the Lost Book of Ages, and so on.

Izumi looked over at Tomura as his hair was completely white now.

"Not to be pushy, but, your hair is white now. Why?"

".....I remembered my past. So much happened..." Tomura said as he explained how Sensei found him and who he used to be. ".....Was I an idiot for believing him?.......He lied to me...." He said with distant eyes.

Izumi looked over at the Ninja Khan saying, she needs to talk to Tomura alone, and they heed her word.

She held Tomura in her arms, assuring him he was another victim and other stuff.

".....What now? We saved Japan. How could we go back to being enemies now?" Tomura asked.

"....I'm not even sure. Even if we go back home, the Shadowkhan will still listen to us. Heck, you even have wealth now. You could break off from your master, and I could help." Izumi whispered.

Tomura thought about it. "....What about the others?"

"The League of Villains? You can ask them to come if they want. Besides, they sought out you, not your master. I know you hate heroes cause none helped you...but...even Villains need their own heroes...you can be one for them. You don't need to do anything flashy or heroic. You just need to understand and accept them." Izumi said.

Tomura thought of it.

Kurogiri was a Nomu yes, but he was programed to assist and watch over Tomura. Despite being difficult for him to handle, Tomura unknowingly became attached to him.

The others had their own issues that they were wrongfully judged for.

Maybe...

-----------
Three days later...

The Ten strongest animals were gathered for a big moment.

Tomura and Izumi watched on.

"To the avians and the sky, Noir the Mystical.

To reptiles and the valleys, Velvet the Motherly.

To insects and the vast jungles, Bliss the Gentle.

To deers and the woodlands, Atlas the Just.

To dragons and all Ruins, Exacal the Tenacious.

To all fish and the Oceans, Moon the Merciful.

To all horses and the Plateaus, Hera the Loyal.

To felines and Volcanoes, Vulcan the Valient.

To all primates and Mountains, Kamuri the Steadfast.

And to all Canines and the wild grasslands....
Guinness the Magificent."

As they were listed, and were now called the Ten Kings.

-------------
Now, Tomura and Izumi were ready as Return glowed.

"Thanks for everything." Izumi smiled, knowing Count and his family would protect the Book of Ages.

"We should thank you and Tomura. We owe you a lot." Count smiled with the other Kings.

Izumi waved as she and Tomura vanished, this journey over.......

Or is it?
--------------
Suddenly, they find themselves at Tarakudo's Palace, or now Tomura's new Palace.

Izumi blinked as she looked outside.

Outside was more of a forest, but there was certainly technology going on. Looking at the time...

This is now Japan from a hundred years before Quirks!

Izumi was surprised but seeing as how Return is dulled again...they have figure out what now...
---------
Seeing as it was almost spring, they had to blend in to find out what to do.

Izumi came up with a perfect cover.

Tomura would be a young man in charge of his family business in the field of archeology and the Arts and they got the money to back it up. The Palace would be their dwelling.

And she was able to create an interesting backstory.

The two would be childhood friends, and be betrothed since Izumi was born and Tomura was five.

Creating the papers and info to be authentic enough was a cinch thanks to magic, and when they return, any recollection of people that met them would be blank.

She would have to pass the time by getting in a school...

And the school would be selected by her Cards, and fortune telling..........

It would be
...........
