    Summary

Contrary to popular belief, demons and celestials were not slaves to the instincts of their animal counterparts as many humans seemed to think.

Oh, they were most certainly affected by them. A water spirit would always feel a pull to a river or ocean. A tiger demon would always mark up a tree or roar to scare away an enemy. They were there, yes, but they were resistable. The same as the human instinct to run when chased, to fight or flee when in danger. Able to be ignored, overridden, and celestials and demons alike were certainly not so beholden to their instincts that they could hardly get a sentence out.

These rules also applied to things like a seasonal migration, or… Mating season.
