There’s a half-empty water bottle on the floor beside him - on its sixth refill now - and another, half-drunk, cup of tea on the table just within Monty’s reach (it's the fourth Edwin had given him before Monty had tapped out fearing that he might be sick from the sheer volume of liquid ingested before they ever got to anything else.)
