Jayce's head is way too empty to be typing up the answers regarding electromagnetic physics homework, not when Viktor lays hungover and curled up in his bed.
Jayce grumbles, slamming his laptop close with too much force. It makes a loud snapping sound against itself and Jayce flinches.
"Fuck," he whisper screams, gingerly looking over to his partner.
Viktor's expression unravels, a content sigh escapes his throat and he sinks deeper into the mattress. He's still asleep.
Jayce shakes his head, grinning.
He uses his fingers to brush Viktor's chestnut curls away from his forehead, and replaces their weight with a gentle kiss.
Jayce peppers a line of kisses down Viktor's cheek bones, down to where his eyelashes kiss the apple of his cheeks.
He notices two new moles around Viktor's neck, the two of them almost about 3 centimeters apart, close but afar, like orbiting planets.
Jayce, without thinking, leans into the crook of his neck and kisses them. Viktor stirs, whining softly.
Jayce has the gall to laugh, "Sorry," he murmurs sheepishly and bows his head.
"New moles, you know I've got to. It's for good luck," Jayce rambles, although his explanation is nothing more than groggy and poor.
Viktor raises his head, exhaling a confused little noise, which Jayce finds adorable.
"Where?" He grumbles, clearly cloudy with sleep.
Raising two fingers along to his lips, Jayce then places them upon Viktor's neck,
"Right here."
Viktor yawns and shakes his head. "You're sure they're new?" and Jayce can only scoff, like it's offensive.
As if he didn't know Viktor and every inch of him? Like he didn't kiss every little freckle and mole and scar each and every day?
"Of course I'm sure!" Jayce practically shouts, throwing up his hands defensively.
He notices Viktor wince at the increase in volume and he quickly whispers an apology.
"You're like a map," Jayce giggles, kissing at the freckle just below his partner's eye.
"A map I can trace and taste," Jayce whispers into his ear, earning a flustered little frenzy of blows to his chest.
Viktor hides his face into the shaft of Jayce's arm, huffing, "Enough of your nonsense."
Jayce pulls him closer and envelopes Viktor in an embrace. His thick arms completely concealing his partner's torso.
Viktor bumps Jayce's chin with his head and bites at the flesh of his neck, and Jayce squirms. Sweet revenge.

Jayce pours the steaming kettle of water into a cup of cheap, powdered blend of coffee.
"Are you eating well, mijo?" Ximena's voice crackles through his phone's speaker.
"Yes, mama," Jayce sighs, rolling his eyes fondly.
"Not sure if you could count peanut butter sandwiches and grocery store sushi as eating well, but alright." Viktor yawns, rubbing his eyes.
Jayce's cheeks burn with frustration, and he waves his free hand in an attempt to quiet Viktor.
"Something to say, Jayce?" Jayce groans, practically feeling Viktor's teasing grin burn into the back of his head.
"Shut up," Jayce hisses, whipping around to toss an icy glare.
"My gods, excuse me?" A shrill voice comes from the phone, and Jayce almost wants to cry. Almost.
"Not you mama, of course not you! That was for uh, someone else," Jayce reassures, holding the bridge of his nose in an exasperated manner.
"Who? You'd better not be speaking to Cait like that, you know I raised you better than to be so disrespectful," she scolds, and Jayce can imagine her waggle her index finger at him, condescendingly.
"No, Caitlyn isn't here. It's just my friend," Jayce offers, only to wince as he hears her audibly gawk at him.
Viktor's still grinning as he fiddles with the draw strings of his - no Jayce's, hoodie.
He watches intently as Jayce scrambles to turn off speaker mode and attempt to soothe his mother. Viktor smiles as he hears Ximena's voice cut off; scolding him to be kinder to those close to him.
When Jayce ends the call and turns to look at Viktor, frustration tenses between his eyebrows.
Viktor flashes him a pout, "maybe you should be nicer to me, Jayce."
Jayce sputters, "Me?"
"You practically bit a hole into my neck earlier!"
Viktor plucks two of the grapes laid out in the bowl on the counter. He pops them into his mouth.
"Sorry," he hums, allowing the juice from the plump fruit to spill over his lips.
Jayce only flutters with embarrassment and spins around, clanking his spoon into his coffee and stirring it over aggressively, to avoid yet another disastrous attempt of conversation with Viktor.
