The shock freezes him to his spot in Xie Lian’s chambers as delayed anger rises like an insistent fire behind his lungs. His hands are itching to start a fight in Xie Lian’s honour when he’s once again intercepted by Xie Lian’s timely actions.
His Highness leaps up from his seat at his vanity and crosses the room in two strides, taking his arm and tugging Mu Qing along with his other hand. “Let’s go! We’ll all get along, won’t we? I want to practice with you both today!” Xie Lian is so bright and the grip on his arm is so firm that Feng Xin closes his mouth with an audible click.
