Hua Cheng pouted and almost threw her phone onto the floor in frustration. Ugh, she just wanted to see her girlfriend! To hold her, kiss her beautiful face, smell her scent, and hear her voice. But the past few days had been torture.
In the mornings, Xie Lian left early, slipping out before Hua Cheng could even say goodbye. It was such a stark contrast to their usual routine, where Hua Cheng would wake up first and spend a moment admiring Xie Lian’s sleeping face before showering her awake with kisses. Now, all that greeted her was an empty bed.
On campus, Xie Lian would wave at her from a distance and hurry off to her classes, almost as if avoiding her, especially when her friends were around. And at night, Xie Lian came home so late that Hua Cheng was already asleep.
