Chapter Text
Groaning, I leaned over in the bed, the mattress creaking below me as it shifted from my weight. But before I could slip free of the sheets, a pair of arms snaked around my waist and pulled me back to cool blankets and pillows below.
“Where are you going…?” Telemachus slurred, his hair sticking out in various directions as he was still only fresh out his slumber. But that wasn’t the only thing accompanying his newly awoken state, his chest was bare, the multitude of bruises and marks from prior nights glistening a raw red and dusty purple in the sunlight that was leaking through the poorly drawn curtains and his eyes were still glazed over, sleep littered across his under eyes as he’d yet to rub them clean.
The sight of him clinging to my body like a lifeline and burying his face into my shoulder brought a faint smile to my lips, the warm expression settling into my features as I flopped back down onto the mattress beside him.
Wrapping my own arms around his sluggish form, I pulled him flush against my chest and planted a few tender kisses against his collarbone, his skin burning beneath my lips while I mumbled into his ever growing blush.
”Downstairs, to tend to our responsibilities-“
“But I’m your responsibility, and I need tending to now, here in bed,” letting out a long whine, Telemachus gazed up at me from his place on my chest, his eyes wide with adoration as his cheeks flushed with a deep pink hue. Lifting his hands up to my sides, he began to mindlessly trace circles with his fingers, his soft skin drawing warm lines atop my icey muscles.
It felt like he’d only grown clingier which each passing day, I was finding it harder and harder to get him away from my side. Although most of me didn’t mind it and another part found it slightly inconvenient, a smaller more selfish part loved how desperate he was. Of course I’d never let him know that otherwise he’d never let me go.
“That may be true but I feel I’ve tended to you enough, don’t you think. Besides, don’t you have your own duties to fulfil Little Prince, Ithaca awaits you.”
At the sound of the nickname I’d placed upon him, Telemachus instantly hid his face away from my gaze. I knew how easily it riled him up which was exactly why I used it.
“Oh…is the Little Prince scared to face his duties…how humorous.”
Telemachus shot me a glare at my continuation of taunting him, his face now a matching red to the hickies on his neck.
”First I’m not “little” and secondly you’re the only duty I see important enough to “tend to”…so allow me a few moments of bliss were I can bask in your beauty before the cruelness of the day drags me away…I’m the Prince of Ithaca, I should be allowed to lie with my beloved in peace.”
Admittedly his words caught me briefly off guard, snapping me out of my playful state for a moment as I felt my face heat up at his words. A rare occurrence on my side of the dynamic.
Telemachus of course almost immediately noticed this and cupped my face in his palms, pulling me in close to him as a string of giggles escaped his throat.
”I made you all red, now you have to stay with me-“
Interrupting his moment of triumph with a quick kiss on the lips, I flashed him a smirk before muttering something to him in a hushed tone, my breath hot against his skin as I spoke.
”Don’t you get cocky on me Little Prince or else I’ll have to add to that collection of bruises you have…”
