Summary
Through the slivers of greed that he sees in the haziness in your eyes, he thinks you might be trouble. You saw the bleeding hole in his heart and instead of stitching it up, you pushed a funnel inside. He supposes it’s better than a straw, which is what Himiko Toga intended to do, he thinks in complicated thought. It’s hard to identify the difference but he thinks that you’re probably like him… in a twisted way. He thinks of your love as molten lava… you slowly let it seep into his insides… down the funnel it went, merging with his blood.
Your love lay heavy on his chest, and it should be suffocating – but guiltily, he was enamoured that someone would take such a keen and somewhat grotesque interest in him.
It keeps him unbearably warm, and short of breath! Like he couldn’t—

His feathers dance with pleasure, quivering excitedly as if they were calling out to you and berating him for taking so long to realise just how much he loves you. Wings begin to bloom from his face, and with him so close to you, they gently reach out and caress your cheeks. The pristine white of his feathers was a stark contrast to your skin, but they lightly kissed the surface with reverence. The spiral patterns etched into them mimic pupils and all of a sudden, you’re aware of a thousand eyes lovingly gazing at the both of you.
You stare at them—and it feels like they’re staring back.
You then look into his own eyes which capture the blue skies in ardour. “Goodness… you really are the most beautiful person I’ve ever met, Vash.”
