   Summary

   This is the first installment of the story collection, The Personal Journal of Mycroft Holmes.
   We join Mycroft Holmes, the elder and significantly cleverer brother of the one and only Consulting Detective, Sherlock Holmes, as he reflects upon a series of events that have interrupted the progression of his, so far, secret relationship with Scotland Yard Detective Inspector Lestrade. They've agreed to bring their love out of the shadows, but everything halts because of a single phone call.

   This story was published on ao3 in August 2021, removed, and is now being republished in 2025 so the author can continue the series.
