Chapter Text
Peter was sat in homeroom talking with Ned about his newest Lego set, while MJ sat there reading as their homeroom teacher was late. Just then Mr Davies came in and announced that on Wednesday they would be having a special Careers day and that they were inviting any and all parents to come in and discuss what it is they do , He then did the register and as everyone was about to leave he handed them each a form for their parents to fill out if they would like to come in to talk, as he was doing this He asked Peter to stay after class.
After everyone had left he began,
“So Peter I just wanted to clarify that of course you can bring your aunt instead” Peter thanked him and quickly left, his teacher had no way of knowing that ‘Aunt May’ wasn’t his guardian and was actually just a cover to hide Peter’s true identity.
His parents had wanted him to live as normal a life as possible while at school and so if Moms cousin had pretended to be his guardian and it had worked great for a while but now that he was a senior it was getting harder and harder as the school was asking for parents to be present at events on a regular basis and Peter could see the look of disappointment on his Dads face every time he brought home a permission slip for an event that they couldn’t attend due to his double life.
Peter’s train of thought was cut off as his spidey sense went off moments before he was slammed into his locker by a smug looking Flash
“Poor little Peter, can’t even have a school career day without being reminded of how different he is” Flash said condescendingly, Peter ignored him and as he walked to first Period he heard Flash shout various insults after him.
His day went on like normal after that and soon he was getting into the car with Happy a block away from school and heading towards the tower, completely forgetting about the form he’d been given that morning.
