Chapter Text
I will loathe you for all my life:
I take my seat next to Ace near the front of the class. Heather, our teacher starts to talk about the history of sorcerers but with my lack of sleep from last night I begin to doze off.
The sound of a ruler hitting the desk startled me enough to look up and see Heather glaring down at me “Miss Shadow, I don’t know what Wolf told you about your importance to this academy but that does not mean you can sleep in my class.”
“Shouldn't someone who is as important as she is pay more attention to class, especially considering she only got here a week ago.” I turn to see who had that. He looks slightly older than me, with scruffily dark brown hair and bright piercing green eyes even though he’s sat at a desk I can tell he’s tall. Much taller than me. I watch as he turns away from his friend who he made the comment to and smirks, tilting his head as if to say, you know I’m right. I glare back at him, about to speak up before Heather spoke again.
“Yes Atlas, she should,” Heather says as she turns away from Atlas to look at me, “Don’t fall asleep in my class again.” Walking off, resuming the lesson, this time I didn’t fall asleep, but I didn’t pay attention either. I couldn’t stop thinking about that stupid Atlas guy, he’s already getting on my nerves and it’s the beginning of my first day. I vow to get him back, no matter what it took.
