going home

Summary:

Tongrak spent barely all of two minutes on his forced 'vacation' before he wanted to go home.

That was before the voice spoke up and an arrogant local shows up.

or

Writer meets local guide who makes him have some early revelations.

Notes:

First fic of the year I think and it's for Love Sea.

Fun to watch a series set on an island during winter months but better later than never.

Work Text:

How could a southern accent sound both cute and annoying at the same time?

As he dusted himself off, Tongrak ignored that arrogant grin on the guide's face - he didn't even introduce himself yet, how cheeky! - as he moved to call his friend to tell him that he would be coming home after all, but something made him stop as he stared at his phone thoughtfully.

"Khun? Didn't you say you wanted to go home?"

There it was, that same annoying, yet somehow likeable voice of the obviously younger man, causing Rak to glare at him instead of his phone as he put it back where it belonged, a thought coming to his mind.

His friend did say to enjoy his vacation and come up with a plot for his book.

He never stated how, now did he?

"... ehm, that smile is a bit suspicious..."

"Be quiet and show me around." Rak barked, moving to grab his oh-so-expensive suitcases, one in each hand, turning to look back at the guy. "Besides, talk about suspicious, you didn't even tell me your name yet. How am I meant to know you are really my guide and not just trying to steal from me?"

"What!? I would never...! Ugh, Khun, seriously... the name's Mahasamut, I'm a local from here which you probably gathered from the way I speak?"

"I have, yeah." with a smirk, he walked up to the younger man, reaching out to pat the confused Mut's shoulder. "In fact, I decided that it would be better for my book - and me - for me to stay as intended. You and I are going to have a great time... while you are showing me around the island."

If Tongrak meant 'a great time' in any other way, well, the younger would find out later, he could use that kind of inspiration too.

Not that Mut had anything to worry about, he could always say no. It's not like he ever lacked his picks for a partner but there was something intriguing about the guy.

He wanted to find out just what it was that already spoke to him like this.
