Tegan is a tease! She means no harm and usually causes none; she makes us smile. Once she accidentally went too far.
She teases the Doctor about the TARDIS' unreliability; he gets defensive but that doesn't last long; he makes a joke or changes the subject, his face all sunny and self-confident again. When she teasingly said he was often too distracted to listen to us, he turned away, wounded; she'd hit a nerve. I touched his shoulder. "Tegan was only joking!" Almost immediately he turned back, smiling.
"No, Nyssa, she's right. I'll do better."
Tegan teases him less now.
