Work Text:
"Doctor, do you dance?"
"I do, Tegan, but I rarely have the opportunity."
"I know Nyssa dances. You think she'd show us a Traken dance some time?"
"Ask her," I suggested.
That evening, barefoot on a balmy Xymrovnan beach, Nyssa suddenly began to dance on the sand, slowly, gracefully, gravely. Tegan hugged her, then insisted, "Your turn, Doctor! Dance like a Time Lord!"
"I don't dance like a Time Lord. I dance like me."
"Show us!" cried Nyssa.
In the double moonlight I closed my eyes, breathed in time to the music of the sea and singing stars, and danced.
