Summary:

After being cheated on by his boyfriend Scout, Andrew swears off dating, much to his family's dismay.
But when he comes across a charming werecat named Theo, the two slowly start to bond upon realizing they have a lot in common, and slowly start to fall for each other.
But when Scout unexpectedly returns, who will Andrew choose?

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

" I am never dating again' Andrew sighed, as he stormed into his cousin's office. " What happened?' Mirabel asked, concerned. " Scout cheated on me. Twice' Andrew scoffed. " Drew, I'm so sorry' Mirabel sympathetically answered. " Thanks, Mira' Andrew grinned.
" I want to say I told you so, but I'll save it for another time, hehe. Welcome home, cuz' Zachary grinned. " Thanks, feels good to be back, apologies for missing the wedding' Andrew grinned. " Eh, don't worry about it. It was small, just a couple family and the squad. Cole almost fell into the wedding cake' Mirabel snorted. " That doesn't surprise me. Anyhowl, what time do my niece and nephew get out of school? I bet they wouldn't mind seeing their favorite uncle' Andrew grinned. " They should be getting out right now. I bet they'd be thrilled to see you' Zachary murmured. " Great. I'll be back in an hour!' Andrew grinned, as he slipped out of the office. " You think we can convince him to stay longer?' Mirabel asked. " If we can't, I'm sure Nicholas and Lykan can' Zachary murmured.

As Andrew drove around the streets of Boo York, he immediately felt a nostalgic sense. Boo York always felt like home to him, more then New Salem did.

" Uncle Drew!!' Nicholas and Lykan yelled, as they ran into the werewolf's arms. " Do you how long i wanted a hug from you?' Lykan pouted, her curls sticking out from her beanie. " Yes, I know' Andrew laughed.

The prince and princess were a mix of both their parents. Nicholas inherited Zachary's green curls and snake hair, while Lykan had the eyes and werewolf hair. " So, how's life going?' Andrew asked, as he helped them put their backpacks in the car. " Horrible' Nicholas muttered. " Aw, come on. There has to be something you're excited about, Nicky' Andrew teased. " One of my friends almost outed me to my crush, so... I came out to him and he posted it all over Grimstagram' Nicholas murmured, as his snakes hissed in anger. " Do your parents know?' Andrew asked. " Dad knows, I don't want Mom to go into overprotective mom mode. Grandpa just told me my snakes should bite them' Nicholas snorted. " Of course he did' Andrew laughed, knowing all too well how protective his uncle is. " Uncle Drew, are you staying for the gala on Friday? Daddy wants you too' Lykan chimed in. " Oh, does he now?' Andrew smirked, knowing the half- monster had a plan up his sleeve. " I'll see, ok?' Andrew murmured. " Yay!' Lykan grinned, tightly hugging her uncle.

" Daddy, Uncle Drew said he might come to the ball!' Lykan cried. " He did? Yes! i knew you'd able to convince him, my girl' Zachary grinned.
" Because I'm his favorite' Lykan smirked. " No, you're not!' Nicholas cried. " Are you sure, Nick? I think he likes me more' Lykan snorted. " No.. But at least I'm the favorite grandchild' Nicholas smirked. " Oh..' Lykan pouted. " He loves you both, okay? You're both his favorite. Nicholas, apologize to your sister' Zachary assured. " Sorry, sis' Nicholas murmured. " It's ok. Just don't be surprised when there's a pillow over your face later' Lykan retorted. " Hey, Dad wants us to be nice to each other' Nicholas grinned. " Ugh, fine. I won't smush your face into a pillow later-' Lykan began. " Thank you' Nicholas murmured. " I'll do it when no one's around. Daddy, can i invite two of my friends to the gala?' Lykan asked. " Of course, sweetheart. Nicky, do you want to invite any of your friends, sweetheart?' Mirabel asked, as she glanced at her son. " Sure, why not?' Nicholas shrugged.
" Oh, please don't invite Max. Then he'll flirt with me' Lykan groaned. " That's who he is, Ly. He's a flirt!' Nicholas cried. " Yes, that's why half of our class wants to go out without him. Speaking of relationships... Daddy?' Lykan asked. ' Yes, princess?' Zachary answered. " Why did Uncle Drew break up with his boyfriend?' Lykan asked. " Is a 13 year old mature enough to understand the concept of cheating?' Zachary whispered. " I'll tell her!' Nicholas cried. " NO!' Zachary and Mirabel cried. " Nick, you know why?' Lykan asked, as she stared at her brother. " Yes, I do' Nicholas grinned. " Nick forgot why' Zachary murmured. " His boyfriend- Wait, what? I forgot' Nicholas began. " There's a shock' Lykan snorted, as there was a knock on the door. ' Who is it?' Zachary asked. " It's me, you nimrod. What do I wear to this gala you made my niece ask me to go too?' Andrew retorted.

" Oh, um.. Something nice' Zachary murmured. " Can you be a little more specific?' Andrew asked, suspicious.
" A blazer. Or a tuxedo' Zachary answered. " Zachary.. What are you up to?' Andrew asked, as he glared at his cousin. ' Nothing. I honestly have no idea what you're asking me' Zachary murmured. " Thank the gods you didn't pick an acting career, Z, because that was god awful. I know you better then anyone, so tell me what's going on' Andrew asked. " Okay, fine. There's one reason why I want you at the gala' Zachary answered. " Why?' Andrew questioned. " To meet someone..' Zachary murmured. " And who will I be meeting, hm?' Andrew asked. " Theo Stripe' Zachary answered. " Theo Stripe?! As in the son of Toralei Stripe, my mother's sworn enemy?!' Andrew cried. " Hehe..' Zachary laughed. " Zach.. Do you know what will happen if those two are in the same room?! How do you guys even know each other?' Theo asked. " Well, we've been friends since college' Zachary shrugged. " Of course. I went to a witchcraft university, and you went to a normal monster university. No wonder we've ever crossed paths before' Andrew scoffed. " And he kinda sorta had a crush on you when you were with Scout..' Zachary muttered. " Theo Stripe had a crush on me?! But back up. You showed him a picture of me?' Andrew asked. " There was a picture of us in my dorm, and he wanted to tell you how he felt about you, but decided not to after he saw you with you know who' Zachary murmured. “ So you knew he had a crush on me and didn’t say anything?’ Andrew cried.

I saw how howl over claws you were for Scout.. and I chose not to tell you’ Zachary cried. “ Makes sense, but I still would’ve liked to know about the crush, then we would’ve talked about it’ Andrew murmured. “ Well, you can, right after you jump his-‘ Zachary began. “ Zachary!’ Mirabel cried. “ What? I didn’t finish the full sentence’ Zachary murmured. “ He sounds like a real winner, Uncle Drew’ Nicholas snorted. “ Ugh, fine. I’ll give the werecat a chance’ Andrew muttered. “ Yes!’ Zachary grinned. “ But you owe me’ Andrew huffed. “ How?’ Zachary asked. “ Something big’ Andrew smirked. “ Ugh, fine. I’ll get you a trampoline’ Zachary sighed. “ How bout a mansion?’ Andrew asked. “ Ok, now you’re just being greedy’ Zachary huffed. “ Hey, how’s Sparky doing? I miss that little fella’ Andrew asked. And Coral and I are engaged’ Colton asked. “ Congrats, dude, but I thought you didn’t have a ring picked out yet?’ Zachary asked. “ Handcrafted it’ Colton murmured. “ Oh, cool. And I thought we agreed to hold the gala this weekend?’ Zachary asked. “ Oh, right, I forgot. So then tonight’s the engagement dinner!’ Is Andrew home?’ Colton asked, as they hung up after a few mins. “ How was Colt?’ Mirabel asked. “ Good, him and Coral are engaged’ Zachary grinned. “ Aw, finally!’ Mirabel grinned. “ Yeah’ Zachary soflty murmured. “ Daddy? Do you think Uncle Colton and Aunt Coral will let me and Nick be in the wedding?’ Lykan asked. “ Of course they will, sweetheart. Maybe you can be the flower girl’ Zachary answered. “ Yay!’ Lykan squealed. “ Speaking of family.. How is it going between you and your MIL? No offense, Mira’ Andrew asked. “ Oh, none taken’ Mirabel murmured. “ Um.. Sort of. She respects me, but we’re not BFF’s. I get along with her dad better’ Zachary answered.

" Um.. Sort of. She respects me, but we're not close. I'm more close with her dad, to be honest' Zachary shrugged. " Well, at least you're getting the respect you deserve. Anyway, I should pribably go see my parents now' Andrew murmured. " Bye, Uncle Drew!!' Lykan and Nicholas cried. " Bye, kids!' Andrew grinned, as he slipped out and drove off.
" Mom? I'm home!' Andrew called. " Andrew! Oh, your father and I missed you so much, sweetheart. Are you home for good now?' Draculaura asked. " Yes, I'm done with witchcraft university and home for good' Andrew grinned. " Oh, good. Your niece and nephew have missed you so much' Draculaura murmured. " Yeah, I actually ran into all of them. They were all very happy' Andrew grinned. " I'm sure they were. Are you going to the gala on Friday?' Draculaura asked. " Yes. Wait, you know about it? Then do you know why I'm supposed to be there?' Andrew asked. " Because of Theo? Yes, I do. Tor and I have agreed to make amends' Draculaura answered. " Phew, that's a relief' Andrew sighed. " We're both adults, past is in the past.. Unlike your cousin's MIL' Draculaura scoffed, as the wolf winced. " How do you know?' Andrew asked. " Because who do you think he tells it all too? Me' Draculaura answered. " But Z told me they were getting along? She respects him now' Andrew murmured. " Only because her daughter called her out on it. When they were first married, she didn't' Draculaura murmured. " Yikes. So I see she's still the same' Andrew murmured. " Oh, she'll never change...' Draculaura sighed.

" Yeah, that's true. Oh, and you and Dad are welcome to come to Colton and Coral's engagement dinner' Andrew offered. " They're engaged? Lagoona or Abby never called to tell me!' Draculaura cried. " Who's engaged? Ah, there's my college graduate. Excited to be home, son?' Clawd greeted.
' Hey, Dad. It feels great to be home. And Colton and Coral are engaged' Andrew grinned. " They are? Heath never said anything, but congrats to them. Your mother and I will be there' Clawd grinned. " Good. Speaking of family.. How are my aunt and uncle doing?' Andrew asked. " Very good, they're enjoying retirement' Clawd answered. " Good. I hope they're at the engagement dinner, I want to see them' Andrew grinned. " I'm sure they will be. Your dad and uncle will need to keep an eye on Heath' Draculaura snorted. " Yeah, Heath is.. interesting. I don't know how you and Uncle Deuce never wanted to kill him' Andrew snorted. " Oh, many times we wanted to in high school or college' Clawd retorted.
(Later that night)
" You think Drew and Theo's date will go well?' Mirabel asked. " I hope so. They both deserve love, especially Drew. I mean, how do you cheat on someone, twice?!' Zachary cried. " Shh, honey, the kids are asleep. And some people aren't meant to be together, like my parents' Mirabel muttered, as the gorgon pursed his lips. " Maybe he sees a side of her that we don't see? All I care about is that's she's good to our children' Zachary murmured. " Yeah, but come on, Zach. How can you defend her with the way she treats you?!' Mirabel cried. " Because she's still your mother, Mira. We may not like each other, but I don't want to be the reason your relationship with her is strained' Zachary sighed. " You're not, and don't ever think that. I don't know what I'd do without you, Zachary' Mirabel sniffled. " You never have to worry about that, because I'm not going anywhere' Zachary softly murmured, as their lips met in a loving kiss.

" Nick, are you still sure it's a good idea to invite Max to the gala?' Lykan asked, as the siblings were walking down the hall. " He's my best friend, and I'm sure he'll be on his best behavior in front of our parents, and just shoo him away if he flirts with you' Nicholas answered.
" Yeah, and he keeps coming back' Lykan scoffed. " Aw, you finally got a thing for me?' Max winked. " Nope, never will. Would you.. Would you-' Lykan began. " Go out with you?' Max grinned. " No, stupid. Our parents are having a gala on Friday, would you like to come?' Lykan asked. " Sure, why not? Oh, can we wear matching suit and dress-' Max began. " NO!' Lykan cried, as the gorgon snickered. " Dude, when will you realize Ly's never going to go out with you?' Nicholas laughed. " Hey, maybe she's playing hard to get, or she's honoring the code' Max murmured. " What code?' Nicholas asked, confused. " Bros before ho-' Max began. " Don't finish that sentence, that's my sister. There's a million other girls who would gladly go out with you' Nicholas answered, firmly. " I know. So do yoh think I still have a shot with your sister?' Max asked. " Oh my god' Nicholas muttered.

" Oh my god' Nicholas muttered. " What?' Max asked, confused. " Max.. I love you, dude, but you gotta get over your crush on my sister, seriously. I know you have a thing for her, but you gotta get over her' Nicholas pleaded. " But we're meant to be!' Max cried. " But she doesn't feel the same way.. I'm sure there's another girl who wants to be your ghoulfriend. I got to get home and shower for later, see you tonight?' Nicholas asked. " Yeah' Max muttered, dejected. " I guess Lykan never had a thing for me' Max muttered.
" Ly, can I borrow your hairspray? My snakes are acting up' Nicholas asked. " Yeah, sure, and what did you say to Max? Ariana said he's in his bedroom crying' Lykan asked. " The truth. That you don't have a thing for him' Nicholas answered. " Well, you must've said it the wrong way, because now he's heartbroken. Just because I don't have a thing for Max, doesn't mean I want to lose our friendship him. You gotta fix this, Nick' Lykan pleaded. " I know' Nicholas muttered. " Kids! Are you almost ready?' Mirabel called. " In a minute, Mom. Nick, what are you going to do?' Lykan asked, as she stared at her brother.

Zachary asked. " Nope, I'll be in the limo! You're on your own, Nick' Lykan cried, as she ran off. " What's wrong, bud?' Zachary asked. " I'll tell you later, let's focus on the gala... But I might've just ruined my friendship with Max' Nicholas sighed, as he followed after his father.
" Daddy, when is Uncle Drew coming?' Lykan asked. " I don't know, sweetheart. But I'm sure he'll be here soon' Zachary assured. " I hope s- Sparky!' Lykan cried, as she ran towards the puppy. " He has been waiting to see you all day, and how are you getting so big?' Clawdeen laughed, ruffling the young wolf's curls. " I don't know. Did you see Uncle Drew on your way in?' Lykan asked. " Yeah, did you?' Nicholas asked. ' No, but I'm sure he'll be soon, he loves seeing you guys' Deuce grinned. " He better be, I have a hot date waiting for him' Zachary snorted. " Language!' Mirabel scolded. " What? I only said hot, and hi Mom and Dad' Zachary laughed. " Hi, sweetie. You and Mirabel did a great job planning this' Clawdeen grinned. " Aw, thank you. This has been driving my nits, and we're so happy you guys came' Mirabel grinned. " Of course. We wouldn't miss this for the world-' Deuce answered. " Your Majesty?' A guard asked. " Yes?' Zachary asked. ' You have an unwanted visitor who wishes to speak with you' Julio answered. " Ok..' Zachary muttered. " Daddy?' Lykan asked. " I'll be right back, princess, stay with Grandma' Zachary answered, as he slipped out. " Well, well.. Is this what it takes to reach you?' A voice hissed. " And I told you we had a deal. I'd give you your money, and you'd leave my family alone' Zachary snarled. " Yes, but you didn't keep your end of the deal.. And it'd be a shame if anything were to happen to them' Ace hissed. " Ace, I swear to-' Zachary began. " Until we meet again. You better have my money' Ace hissed, as he stormed off. " Do you care to explain what the hex was that about?!' Deuce asked. " Aah! Dad, why aren't you inside with Mom and your grandkids?' Zachary cried. " Oh, gee.. Maybe it's because I saw my son being threatened. Zachary Apollo... You better start talking, pronto' Deuce hissed, eyes glowing.

" So let me get this straight... You're secretly working to take down a hitman by posing as his assistant, who just so happens to be the son of my arch enemy?' Deuce asked, arms crossed. " Yeah..' Zachary muttered. " Zachary!' Deuce sighed. " I know, but what was I supposed to do, Dad?! You of all people never strayed away from a fight' Zachary cried. " Yes, but my fights never involved working for a hitman! Your mother would have my head' Deuce cried. " Yeah, she would... Which reminds me, how are you going to tell her?' Zachary asked. " Oh, no, no. Nope. There are several things I will never tell your mother or my daughter in law, so you really need to think and long hed about this' Deuce encouraged. " I know..' Zachary sighed, avoiding his father's gaze. " He was your bully anyway. Why are you helping him?' Deuce asked. " Well...' Zachary hesitated. " Theo Stripe?' A voice asked. " Andrew. Hi. Or do I call you Drew?' Theo asked, as his eyes lit up. " Andrew's fine. It's nice to finally meet you, I've heard a lot about you' Andrew answered, as they shook hands. " You too.. And you're even cuter in person' Theo smirked, as the werewolf blushed. " Aw... Now you're making me blush' Andrew teased. " Andrew... It is okay if I kiss you?' Theo asked. " I was.. hoping you would' Andrew muttered, as their lips met in a heated and passionate kiss. " We should..' Theo breathed. " Get out of here...' Andrew finished, as they ran off.

As Andrew's eyes stirred open, he grinned seeing Theo beside him, sound asleep. He couldn't remember ever feeling this way around Scout. " Morning, handsome..' Theo muttered, kissing the werewolf's jawline. " Good morning...' Andrew grinned. " Have I ever told you how handsome you look in the morning?' Theo asked. " Yes, but I wouldn't mind hearing it-' Andrew began, as his ICoffin buzzed. " Let me see who that is and tell them to- Oh no. The, I'm sorry, but I gotta go' Andrew began. " What's the matter?' Theo asked, concerned. " It's my uncle, Z's in trouble' Andrew answered. " Is he ok?!' Theo asked. " Yeah, it's complicated... And this isn't how I want you to meet them for the first time' Andrew answered. " That makes sense. Call me later, ok?' Theo whispered. " Promise' Andrew whispered, as they softly kissed before he slipped out.
" I'm sorry if I interrupted you and Theo, he seems really sweet' Deuce apologized. " No, you don't need to apologize, Uncle D, family comes first to me. What did my idiot cousin get himself into?' Andrew asked, as Deuce sighed. " Do you remember a guy named Ace? z says you guys went to school with him, he's-' Deuce began. " A pompous jock who's the son of another pompous ass? Then yes, I remember him' Andrew scoffed. " I was hoping you did' Deuce muttered. ' So why is Z working for him?' Andrew asked, confused. " Because apparently he's a hitman, and Z is posing as his assistant to take him down, and I'm afraid of what's gonna happen to him if he gets caught in the crossfire. Your dad and I could really use your help, Andrew' Deuce pleaded. " Of course I'll help. We just need to make sure we cover our tracks' Andrew murmured.

" We just need to make sure we cover our tracks' Andrew murmured. " You told him?!' Zachary cried, sipping from an iced latte. " You're damn right he told me. Are you out of your freaking mind, Z?! You're working for Ace?!' Andrew cried. " I'm not actually working for him, I'm going undercover working for him! Andrew, do you know how many people he made disappear as a crime boss? I'm aware of the risks it-' Zachary began. " And that better mean you're quitting now, Zachary' Mirabel hissed. " Mira' Zachary gulped.
" L- look, I can explain, I-' Zachary began. " Oh, I don't want to hear it. This is why you've been working late every night, isn't it?! You're not filing paperwork in your office, you're running his errands?! Why, why would you do this?!' Mirabel cried. " I need to take him down! He is a criminal and he needs to be stopped! The longer he's on the streets, the more-' Zachary began. " Do you realize how angry you sound right now?! This isn't like you at all, Zach, and I can not be near you right now' Mirabel sniffled. " Mira. Mira!' Zachary cried, as the werecat ran off and he sighed. " What did I just do?' Zachary sighed.
(Later that night.)
" Guys! I'm home! I'm sorry I was late, but-' Zachary began, as he frowned at the quietness in the apartment. " Guys?' Zachary asked. No answer. " What's this?' Zachary muttered, as his gaze landed on a letter with his name on it, and tears streamed down his cheek. " Z? What's wrong?' Andrew asked. " Uh.. Mira and the kids went to go stay with my parents for a while. I need to end this job now' Zachary sniffled.

" Thank you again for letting us stay here, guys' Mirabel grinned. " You don't need to thank us, we're family, and this is what is families do. And maybe this'll give our son a rude awakening' Clawdeen murmured. " I hope so. I just don't understand why he's so obsessed with Ace. He never said anything to you guys about it?' Mirabel asked. " No, honest. All he said is that he hates him, but never that he wanted to work for him' Clawdeen answered. " Which is why I'll find out when I go after him' Deuce chimed in. " Wait, you're going to the warehouse where Ace is? Are you insane?!' Clawdeen cried. " Claws, our son is out there trapped in his own mind, and he's angry. He could do something dangerous, and it could backfire, which is why I need to get to him' Deuce argued, his eyes glowing. " I mean, I see your point.. But it's dangerous to even step foot in the warehouse, Deuce! And I understand you want to find out exactly what our son wants justice for, but..' Clawdeen sighed. " I promise I'll be careful, and I'm not going alone. Heath and Clawd are going to go with me' Deuce assured. " Good, you'll have protection' Clawdeen murmured, relieved. " Don't even, father in law' Mirabel chimed in. " Guys, I know you're worried about me, but-' Deuce began. " Deuce, c'mon! We have to get to Zachary!' Clawd called. " Coming! I'll be back at midnight!' Deuce called, as he ran off. " He's not going to be back by midnight, isn't he?' Mirabel asked. " No, no, he's not' Clawdeen sniffled.
" You little traitor. So you were the one who was hijacking my cash?' Ace asked. " You were robbing and k*illing innocent people, Ace! I did what had to be done' Zachary hissed. " I trusted you. You said you weren't dirty like the rest of them..' Ace growled. " The rest of them that are in hiding? Because you ran them out of town? I know all about your ex- employees' Zachary snarled. " Yeah, and you know why I ran them out of town? Because they betrayed me, and they had to pay the price..' Ace began, as he pulled out a dagger g*un, as the gorgon collapsed. " Zachary! Hang on, I'm-' Deuce began, as he felt something stab him from behind. " And now we have both of them..' Romulus cackled.

" Ugh..' Deuce muttered, as he winced in pain. " Have a good sleep?' Romulus cackled. " What did you- Ah! What did you do to me?' Deuce winced. " Isn't it obvious? I stabbed you, hehe..' Romulus laughed. " What the hex is your plan, Romulus?' Deuce hissed. " Oh, isn't it obivious? I'm going to destroy the both of you, then I'll have that precious werewolf to myself...' Romulus smirked. " I swear to god if you go anywhere near her..' Deuce growled, as his blood boiled. " Oh, you really need to talk less, Deuce..' Romulus smirked, as the gorgon collapsed with a thud.
" Zachary! Can you hear me?! Z!' Clawd cried, as he shook the half- monster's shoulders. " Come on, Zachary, don't do this..' Clawd muttered, as he stared at his nephew's lifeless face. " C- Clawd..' Zachary breathed. " Hey, bud. You're going to be ok, alright? We're going to get you-' Clawd began. " You need to help my dad first..' Zachary breathed. " No, we're going to help both of you' Heath firmly answered. " Help him first. I'm the one who dragged him into this..' Zachary muttered, as his eyes grew heavy. " Zachary, stay awake, ok? Stay awake' Clawd pleaded. No answer. " Zachary?' Clawd asked. No answer. " Zachary, c'mon!' Clawd sniffled.

“ Zachary, c’mon!’ Clawd sniffled, as his face fell when he felt a low pulse. “ Dad?!’ Andrew cried. “ Andrew! We’re over here, son!’ Clawd cried. “ Z! Oh, is he okay?!’ Andrew cried, as he knelt down beside the gorgon. “ I don’t know, but I really need to check on D’ Clawd muttered. “ Go, I’ll stay with Z’ Andrew urged. “ Are you sure? I-‘ Clawd began. “ Clawd, Andrew’s right, he’s got this’ Heath chimed in. “ Thanks, Uncle Heath’ Andrew grinned, as they ran off.
“ Come on, Z, you gotta wake up. Everyone needs you, ok? Nick and Lykan need their dad, your parents need their son, and Mira needs you too, and so do I. Come on, Zachy’ Andrew pleaded.
(Meanwhile..)
“ Oh, where are they? It’s almost midnight, they should be back by bow’ Draculaura wondered. “ I knew I shouldn’t have let Deuce go with them’ Clawdeen sighed. “ Then something must’ve happened, or Ace did something to Zachary’ Mirabel chimed in. “ Then we need to go find them, NOW!’ Clawdeen cried, as they rushed out.
