“hey, uh, zam?” a voice startled zam as he was harvesting his wheat from the farm next to zam empire 2.0.
“oh.. hey egg. what’s up..?” zam looked skeptical, nothing ever went well whenever he had a “friendly talk” with someone allied with wemmbu. speaking of wemmbu, zam wondered where he was hiding.
wemmbu usually followed everywhere egg went, since he couldn’t really defend himself. and the only times eggs spoken to zam really was because wemmbu sent him to. zams eyes darted around, eventually landing on eggs face, or uh, head? eye? he didn’t know what to call it.
“sorry to bother you dude, but have you seen wemmbu recently?” egg looked at the ground, fidgeting with his hands.
oh.
zam knew what being worried looked like. egg was never worried.
“uh.. no.. why..?” zam questioned, opening a chest to store the wheat in. he wanted to save up a stack for breeding, if cows even spawned in here, that is.
“well.. uh.. he’s been gone for a while and he hasn’t responded to me at all. he’s online, just not in touch.. his last message to me was, “thanks egg, for everything, brother.” and it’s kinda scaring me.. he’s never this nice, even when he wants something.”
zam froze. his heart dropped. he was glad he was facing away from egg at that moment because he was sure that his face was a look of pure terror.
“uh… zam..?” zam heard eggs footsteps getting closer. zam unthawed himself and let out the breath he didn’t remember holding.
“egg, sorry man but i just remembered that pangi told me to go do something. good luck finding wemmbu, i’m sure he’ll come back soon.” zam equipped his elytra and flew away, not even turning to face egg that whole conversation.
egg watched as zam flew away in a hurry, knowing that something was up. “dude wemmbu needs to stop hiding things from me man.” egg grumbled as he turned and started the long walk back to base (wemmbu took both elytras, obviously not wanting egg to go looking for him).
egg knew that zam had to have known where wemmbu was, so he’d do what he knows best. he’d wait.
